Hi everybody,

I have been learning about lilith of late. Intrigued!

What I am having trouble with is identifying which Lilith to use to explain the kind of woman a man is attracted to and/or is most scared of?

On astro.com which of the following would you use to pinpoint this part of Lilith in their chart...

Lilith, H58, 1181, or H13?

This has me totally perplexed??? Someone. Please. Help!

    I'd consider all Liliths.
    If you're interested in information related to a man's anima, look at moon, venus and lilith. There's not only one female image in a man's irrational, but Lilith in particular (maybe primarily BML) would give you some hints about the most feared, but secretly desired kind of woman. You will generally not find people married to or having long-term more or less institutionalized relationships with their Lilith figures. They would make them feel devoured and subjugated.

      Thanks for the info. Interesting.

      I understand the moon and venus plus aspects denotes majority of the attraction, but i was curious to the Lilith in a man's chart. Just to be a proverbial pain in the backside, is it the true or mean BML? I checked out the 20 or so study subjects I have on my astro.com account and noticed half of them have the true and mean in the same sign and house whereas the other half have their true BML in the next sign along to the mean BML. I understand it is due to oscillation, but would you then look at the true or mean in these particular men's charts, or is he both attracted/repulsed to two distinct types....?

        I mainly use BML (the one given in the list of asto.com) and asteroid 1181, but you should consider the others as well, especially if they have strong aspects with personal planets or happen to be angular.

          Hmmm So here's what I have in one of my synastry charts with an S.O.

          My black moon lilith in opposition to his BML. Interesting.

          My BML square his Uranus.

          My BML trine his Asc.

          My DML opp his Uranus and Pluto. (Meeting me would upset his life and transform him. VERY TRUE)

          My DML trine his NN. (Guess he needed to meet me then.)

          My DML conj his Chiron. (I would activate his deepest hurt and in a sense give him the potential to try to heal it. VERY TRUE)

          My DML square his BML. (HMMM The thing he obsesses about and the thing he most fears maybe.)

          My DML Q his DML. (Probably along the lines of above although less so.)

          Lilit Sextile his Sun. (Something about me and my rebellion makes him find his true self.)

          Lilit Sextile his Mars. (And he likes it and fights it.)

          Osc Lilith Square his Uranus, Pluto and Chiron. (Can we say double and triple effects of Lilith?)

          Osc Lilith opp his BML (He likes my Lilith and hates her too)

          It's all pretty interesting. He actually pointed out when we met that my first name means Lily and asked me if I knew about Lilith. He's not into astrology, he's a theology major so he knows about her from that angle. But pretty interesting that he said that and that he calls me his Lilith. LOL I am pretty much his Lilith. I'd have to agree with that one. But, we have been connected in one way or another for the last 13 years and I seriously doubt anything could change that. And honestly I think my Lilith is the thing he likes most about me.

            Well, Zanne, if you've been with that man for a long time you must be an exception - or, better said, he must be the exception, if you're 'his lilith'; (I did notice that you said 'an S.O.', anyway).

            The most significant seem to me interaspects between your liliths and the conj. with chiron. I do consider aspects with outer planets, but their effect is somehow more diffuse (and theoretically it should be the same between you and a great number of other men ;). In concrete cases, I've notice an instant reaction of 'attraction and awe' when people with strong lilith synastry aspects came into contact - something immediate and visceral, no time to process via reaso or wonder why (there were exact conjunctions of lilith-sun, DML -moon and BML-asteroid Lilith and they were aligned with some recurrent motifs in their charts, part of a broader pattern, the so-called 'figure in the carpet')

              So a man wouldn't choose to have a serious relationship with a woman who's personal planet touches his BML?

              I'm very attracted to a man who has a BML conjunction with his Venus in capricorn - which again conjuncts MY Mars in Capricorn.
              His 1181 Lilith is in Pisces, exactly squarring my Sun. (Trining my Venus though).

              My BML is opposite to his Mars, and square his Moon.

              I'm extremely attracted to this man (probably the Venus-Mars conjunction + other things), but the energy I pick up from him is a bit more reserved and cautious. A bit curious and intrigued too at times, but mostly just reserved.

                ~~~~~~~~~~
                it depends on how willing the man is to face his own inner demons (which are likely to be personified by the woman whose personal planets touch his BML) ~ either way, the probability for "living happily ever after" is pretty low, but not impossible ~ there are some men who enjoy that kind of thing ;)
                love all-ways (especially the deliciously difficult ways),
                Mona, this is normal for any venus in capricorn. They always act reserved ad cautious. They feel too unloved and vulnerable to be at ease with love. They cannot understand why someone would be interested in them. So they are suspicious of your motives. They will study you first and keep you at a distance in order to know why you want them.
                  That makes sense, I'm a bit the same way with my Mars in Cappy. But what about him having Lilith conjunct his Venus in Capricorn - would this intensify these traits?
                    Mona, I'm still studying lilith. What I have understood so far is that lilith has to do with being "unaffected by cultural influences", being "natural", "raw" and so on. But other authors, such as Mae R. Wilson-Ludlam, merely see lilith as a part that is luring us to take the easy way - if there is a choice to be made. She sees lilith as "sexual attraction without heartfelt love". So I guess that must be one way to describe any lilith conjunct venus. IF people choose that option, because according to ms Wilson-Ludlam there is always a choice.
                      Unsubconscious,
                      <<What I have understood so far is that lilith has to do with being "unaffected by cultural influences", being "natural", "raw" and so on.>>
                      I have never heard Lilith put in these words, although many descriptions connect to this in an indirect way. I think it would be interesting to see Lilith influences when aspecting personal planets vs. generational planets.
                      I wonder if a person with Lilith aspecting a personal planets is more aware of her energy, even if one can't put their finger on connected it to Lilith.
                      Personally, I have 3rd house Lilith almost in exact conjunction to Neptune and sextile 12th house Pluto Ascendant conjunction.... so not , at least verbally :-)
                      Mona sorry if this is a bit of a tangent from your thread.... On that note Mona ... I can relate in many ways to unsubconscious' Venus in Capricorn description (I have Venus in Capricorn conjunct IC, But I also have a Pluto square)
                        Hi Nortia, I find it extremely hard to "grasp" lilith - unless I mistakenly attribute many of her traits to other planets. Also, I'm not too eager to immediately embrace new important factors in a chart because I feel there is a limit to what is workable. So up until now, I'm balancing between "lilith is extremely important - especially if she's prominently placed" and "lilith is barely noticeable".
                        So far, I have defined my own lilith as what I already wrote: the "natural", "raw" and so on. My lilith is exactly conjunct my descendant, aspecting half of my planets. Looking back on the 50 years of my life, it is obvious my love life was a mess (and I put it mildly now). I didn't have a clue about the rules when it comes to dating, relationships, love and so on. Others misunderstood me all the time, and vice versa.
                        I bought Ms Wilson-Ludlams's book on lilith last summer, and at first glance I found her descripions extremely negative - so I put her aside for a bit. Until this morning. Apparently I'm suddenly "ready" now to get the picture she's painting. If I read in ms Wilson-Ludlam's book that lilith is about poor descision making and consequently suffering from the misery that comes from those poor descisions, yes, that certainly is very true for me.
                      Mona, according to another lilith author, Delphine Gloria Jay, a venus / lilith conjunction creates an "out of sight, out of mind" attitude, plus the ability to enjoy (read: prefer) one's own company - unless he / she feels very strong ties with another human being. Usually those ties are of an intellectual and / or cultural nature - or spiritual. So to answer your question: in a way lilith may make him more aloof - which could be translated as cautious and keeping you at a distance.
                      However... I suppose regardless of lilith, if a man is interested in you, he will not hesitate in showing you this. At least that is what every male friend is telling me over & over again. If they want you, you don't need to guess.
