My fall session of tribal bellydance classes has come to an end, but I'm hosting an informal open dance night during regular class time this week. This is a fun, casual jam session in which to try out your tribal moves (though dancers of all styles are welcome.) I'll lead a short warm-up at the beginning, but after that, the dancing will be unguided-- whoever wants to dance is welcome to dance! This is not a performance, but a chance to use what you know, maybe pick up some new moves, and share the synergy with your sisters/brothers in dance. Feel free to dress up as much or as little as you wish. There are chairs in the studio if you need to take a break; bring a water bottle to keep hydrated.
what: Open Jam Session
when: Thursday 12/10, 7:30-9:30
where: The Dance Center, 223 S. Pete Ellis Dr. on the east side of Bloomington
cost: $5 (half the regular drop-in class price-- what a deal!)

This sounds like a fun night. Are you planning anything like this in May?

Mon, March 23, 2009 - 9:29 AMRight now, it looks like no. However, we'll be performing at a benefit hafla with a lot of open dancing, and organizing/performing at a show with some fantastic guest musicians from Atlanta and Seattle. -
