Brugmensia

Made a tea out of ONE of her flowers . .

After having wonderful conversations with ghosts, I fell asleep.... Blacked out for 3 hours. My sister found me weeping, crawling.

I woke up and felt fine....didn't even know I was going insane until she told me. It was like I was posessed...

Amazing entheogen. All my friends, dead or alive, came and visited me and talked to me until they vanished.

You say I should NEVER eat her, does this include the tea? ONE flower was way too intense for me.... I might make a tea out of 1/3 of a flower in the future....

I smoked her stamen and the auditory hallucinations made me giggle.

Sat name,

What species? Stramonium (sp?)? or can you use all of the species, your post has me seeking similar gnosis in this fashion....

Yeah, do you know the exact variety you used? Flowers are generally a safer spot to work from. Overall, i have a tendency to like to smoke the fresh ground seeds.

I never know what species it is I'm dealing with.
My friend reports that his (STUPID DRUNK ASS)
        ate an entire flower
        (!)
        and didn't feel ANYTHING.

Is this common? I was VERY surprised.

I cannot comment on use of datura, since I have only collected it and meditated with the energy of live plants and material collected but would like to cite that as your friend was drunk this could be a factor not feeling the effects. I know someone who was drinking and smoke Salvia D and did not get much out of it, ---the alcohol content in your blood may counter any entheogenic experiences....I know Erowid.org has a valuable source of material on its effects from eating to smoking.....just my two coins worth ;-p

without having a clue as to the variety you are using, you will always have variable effects. Drinking while sitting with a plant teacher, should bring out datura's finest anger teaching lessons.

I usually just eat a tiny piece and she whispers to me...

Gotcha bro. good idea. I apprenticed for many years with Toe, so i could work with her in higher amounts with safety. It takes alot of years to be able to guesstimate how strong Toe is from the smell and taste, so you are fairly accurate in the amount needed, which of course depends on whether you just learn lessons, or if you are part of a chamans lineage, and use it for giving you the healing power to treat others, or to become an accurate seer. just my 2 cents.

                chamans lineage?

chamans lineage - meaning, being formally taught by a medicine person that was taught how to use Toe, from a trans-generational tradition that has been passed down from previous generations.

I always wonder about things like that.
My whole life I've always taught myselff. I am well aware that every single thing is an influence,
but there has never been a guide, a shaman,
I guess we really are all our own guru.
I think it would be nice, but
                    when the student is ready
                    the guru appears, right?

                    I'll keep nibbling and listening . .

right on bro, listening slowly is the key.
Tonite, i made a peruvian tobacco and datura blend (with other harmonizing plants) in water. Its called Singa. One administers it by snorting a small quantity of the liquid thru each nostril. It is a very good way to work with a plant. and the tobacco increases datura's power, and gives clarity to it's energy.

This sounds inspiring Travis, I would like to learn more from you on this if I may inquire, I am interested in the use of tobacco with datura in a smoke--and how I have heard that tobacco increases the power of datura, I have had similar results with MJ and Salvia, and Tobacco and Salvia,---I do not have Peruvian tobacco here but others in the Nicotiana family--did you soak, boil etc?
