Tue, November 21, 2006 - 1:59 PMyeah...soriano strikes out a whole bunch...but when he does get on base, he gets into a position where he can score. 40-40 club is hard to beat.
i think it would have made more sense to sign him to 3 or 4 year deal instead of an 8 year deal. what happens if he gets injured or doesn't perform. i wonder if their are any performance clauses in his contract. -

Thu, November 23, 2006 - 11:29 PMHe would've went somewhere else if he didn't get a long term deal. Sure, it may hurt the Cubs and us down the line but the plan is to make it pay off NOW and I, for one, have been patient for way too long.
