The answer depends on several things, but first, on who else you are with!
Every Cancer friend I've ever had has told me I think too much! On the other hand, most of the Aquarian and Sagittarian friends I have tell me they love how I'm always thinking.

Another thing is what else you have in your chart.

A Gemini with Mercury in Taurus or Cancer is often not as wired as a Gemini with Mercury in Gemini, more deliberate, less tendency to think to the point of of exhaustion. But a Cancer Mercury may be even more changeable mentally than a Mercury in Gemini, while a Mercury in Taurus may want to understand something thoroughly before moving on to another subject.

Gemini has Virgo on the 4th. That means that a Gemini is most secure when they have tons of details to draw upon. Insecurity is therefore not knowing why something happened, or how it occurred, so the Gemini needs to keep asking questions, trying to put all the pieces together. But if something is IN Virgo, square to the Gemini Sun or other Gemini planets, the need is accentuated to think, to ask why, to ask how, to ask when, etc.

Gemini's do have a unique ability, which is both a blessing and a curse. The typical person keeps going until they run out of energy, then they put down for a rest. But the Gemini-influenced person keeps going after running out of the main energy, switching to nervous energy (much in the way a hybrid car can switch from gasoline to electricity when necessary.) So the typical Gemini can keep on going, like the Energizer rabbit, on and on....until...... When they run out of nervous energy too, they can reach a complete shutdown.......more like the 'other battery' in the old Duracell commercials.

I'm a Mercury in Gemini with an Aries moon...and I have nothing in Virgo.
I don't know what he thinks...I may have possibly scared him off, though he did talk to me today and wanted me to sit with him at lunch and stuff.
