Deep Seeds – the name for my potential project partnership with a local nonprofit organization, based on my love of space** and the concept of planting seeds of change in people’s hearts & minds as well as in the earth. Deep Seeds of inclusion can never be uprooted once they’re planted in the fertile ground of the human heart and mind.
This project aims to design and install Permaculture gardens for low-income and marginalized families and communities. The idea is that my design company will furnish the designs and manage each project, including supervision of installation. Some factors for consideration include fundraising, outreach to communities served, hiring landscape contractors versus seeking L.C. licensure through the nonprofit and handling installation in-house. There will be more to come on this project as I spend a portion of my spare time locating a suitable nonprofit org to partner with as well as developing the proposal itself.
