A being who's 'been around the block' a few times!
Possibly from another planet or dimension.
Maybe even a 'fallen angel' or such entity that has fallen from grace.
Someone who senses that we are inside the Matrix.(tee-hee)
I remember not being confinded to my fleshly prison, even before there was life on this rock...
I could go on and on...
but I wont, unless you ask ...

This is all purely conjecture and guessing on my part.
I actually doubt reality and anything at this point might merely be a product of my wild imaginination...
I have been told by 'others' ,my supposed long lost spiritial family that I was one of the First to come here from other realms.
We are all mythological creatres, of various origins.
I can almost remember 'falling' for an infinate amount of time...
crashing and spilntering in a shower of sparks that covered this Earth...
waking up in a mortal body, limited in this prison of flesh and circomstance....
        I have to go now.
        More later.

Anyways, since time has no meaning when dealing with the Infinate...
all I can can say is that things are somewhat sketchy along the way.
          I remember bits and pieces...
          The fall of Atlantea...power currupts!
Being teleported to safety in Egypt to tell the tale.
Possibly incarnated as a Goddess figure in Rome/Greece later on?
          Remembering Troy burning(as Kassandra?)
Living in ancient China and Japan and knowing names and words in both without knowing how?
Knowing what smoking feels like, eventhough I never have in this life and knowing it killed me in my last!
Knowing and feeling alot of things I don't understand...
Can you see how I can feel so alone and lost?

I had a friend who talked about genetic memories, that some memories in our genes linger on, and this oculd be an explanation for some feelings.

            He may have a point.

I think at the end of the day, the 'here and now' is the most important. What we do with the present.

Also..... where do we go from here?

With you on that my dear!
I actually try not to dwell on the past...
instead I enjoy the moment for it is!
Real or not, it really doesn't matter now.

One of the saddest "New" Twilight Zones I ever saw was one in which everyone could remember their past lives. It was awful for them.

Folks who had been stately and important and were now otherwise, were twice as miserable and cried out angrily to be recognized or became suicidal, the erstwhile poor and trodden on used their current life's power to exact revenge and excercise greed. Even folks who stayed basically the same socio-economically were pissed that they didn't have it any better. People were torqued off to be born a different gender. Or the same one if they hated it the last time etc. etc....

Just think about the implications of that. If you could remember all ~ would you?

I have flashbacks but hope not to remember any too much until I truly accept all. CoZ is right - it's here & now that we can effect and I have enough trouble getting past the past of this life. If I could learn to accomplish that, my time this time will not have been in vain.

It can be quite maddening, so much knowledge and being stuck in this existance...
I have been insane through the lifetimes, I am finally trying not to distroy myself this time!
Hard struggle to keep controll, meditaion and focusing is all that keeps me on this side of sanity.

"Old Soul" is a very elusive term. Many take it as a soul that has been reincarnating again and again, and because of all this experience, has become wise. Sometimes memory of past lifes is useful, sometimes it's a burden. In the end there's the question "does itf really matter?"

If all souls have been created at the same time, then no soul is older than any other. If it is about experience: what kind of experience? I mean, it is possible for a soul to be born on this plane for the very first time, and still hold a lot of inner wisdom. "Connectedness to the Source", or "Inner Knowledge" are more accurate predicates to describe what is an old soul.
