Dinah will be teaching moves and combinations used by Egypt's top belly dancers. In this workshop you will strengthen your Egyptian technique while learning tips and tricks that will enhance your dancing!
This workshop is open to beginner to advanced level dancers. Previous belly dance experience is recommended.

Drum Solo 101
1:30pm-4:00pm
$25.00
Learn everything you need to know about drum solos! Shahrzad will be teaching the moves, personality, and musicality that make for dynamic and exciting drum solos. She will be covering moves, layering, combinations, and a short choreography.
This workshop is open to beginner to advanced level dancers. Previous belly dance experience is recommended.

Intro to Belly Dance

$15.00
Never learned Egyptian belly dance? Want to try it? This is the perfect opportunity! Shahrzad will teach all the basic moves while explaining some of the fitness benefits of the dance. This workshop is also great for dancers who want to brush up on the basics. Anyone can attend this workshop, no previous dance training of any kind is required.

Belly dance show

Doors open at 6:15pm, performances start at 7:00pm
$10.00, kids under 5 get in for free.
This show will feature the workshop teachers, some of the participants, and top professional dancers in the area.
There are still 2 or 3 sots open for the show, contact ASAP if you would like to be in it.

Devadasi will be setting up shop and selling through out all the workshops and the show. They sell belly dance costumes from beginner to top professional, cds, hip scarfs, jewelry, props, pretty much everything!

All workshops and performances will be taking place at the Center for the Creative Arts

Sunday classes cancelled Privates available

The bellydance class on Sundays has been cancelled until further notice. Sometime after the summer. Since most of my students would rather be at the beach then in the studio.
In the mean time I am considering teaching a ballroom dance class on either Mondays or Tuesdays after 7:00. If you would be interested please let me know.
I am available for Private or small group of four in my home.

"MIDDLETOWN -- A huge section of plaster ceiling lay draped across the seats in rows A through J at the Everett Theater, looking very much like a rumpled and upside-down quilt.

About 11:30 p.m. Saturday, plumes of dust from the fallen ceiling triggered automatic alarms, and Middletown police and firefighters were dispatched to the scene."

This is the theater where we had Raq'n the Casbah.

Artemis in Newark DE!!!! Dec 1st

Maya and Ilianna will be sponsoring Artemis Mourat in a one-day
workshop on Saturday, December 1, 2007.

Artemis will be teaching a day of Turkish-style dancing with emphasis
on the difference between Egyptian and Turkish moves, Turkish
combinations, and will give a special lecture on the history
of "Vintage Belly Dancing" in America. You don't want to miss this
workshop!

DATE: December 1, 2007

LOCATION: George Wilson Center, 303 New London Road, Newark, DE

TIME: 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
