OKay Fans - Denise is now featured doing her new Double Sword act on Jillina's latest workout DVD>
Denise is part of the Sahalal Dancers in the workout portion and then later, you can see her performance at the Danza Del Vientre Show that Jillina produced last winter in North Hollywood.

Denise stopped the show!!

Yes, our fabulous Denise was the show stopper at Beirut Nights when she cam onto the dance floor with her candelabra full of flames atop her head - wearing her new GORGEOUS white costume that she just bought in Buenos Aires where she recently went for a month to visit her mother who was having surgery. Sadly I did not have my camera with me to share photos with you of the event (sorry)
The event was the final night of a long running competition to select the best Belly Dancer in Los Angeles. There was a star studded panel of judges and an AMAZING live band to accompany the performers during their Drum solos. This included Gomal and Donavan.
Denise was the final entertainment guest performer while the judges made their decision. And the winner was Vilma - one of Denise's students!!!
All of the finalists were outstanding in the individual styles. It was a truly amazing show, put on by her good friends Joelle and Marcos!

Denise in Las Vegas

This past week, Denise traveled with friends to spend the opening half of the IBDC Belly Dance Convention in Las Vegas. Her great friend and former dance partner Amir Thaleb were among the performers. There were also many workshops with Belly Dane legends from the Middle East. Tito from Egypt was there and Denise took his workshop as well as Amir's. We took in the sights the next day with Amir Thaleb and Virginia - along the famous Vegas Strip, including Cesar's Palace, The Bellagio, Paris, The Venetian (our favorite),and then we headed for Studio 54 at the MGM Grand for a night of dancing with some friends - getting back to the hotel at 4:00 in the morning!
It was a fun trip and we had a fabulous time.

New DVD recorded!!!

Last night's show that Jillina produced was recorded on DVD.
Also, this week, Jillina recorded a new workout DVD at her Evolution Studios in North Hollywood.
Not only will Denise be a part of the Sahlala Dancers in the workout portion of the DVD, but you will also be able to see the AMAZING DOUBLE SWORD performance that she did last night in the show!
It will be one of three added solo pieces as bonus tracks on the DVD!

Denise update - April 2007

This past weekend, Denise took her very first (I know it won't be her last!) Tribal Style Belly dance workshop - it was with the legendary Heather Stants of Urban Tribal from San Diego and took place at the Tribal Caravan Festival in Agoura Hills (Los Angeles).
Although Denise is unsurpassed in the Cabaret style of dance, and also very knowledgeable in other forms of dance, tribal is fairly new to her and she has begun exploring it here in L.A.

Sherri Wheatley and Denise have been doing some shows together lately and Sherri comes from the Tribal Style Bellydance world.

This should turn into something wonderful!!!

!! Felicitaciones to Denise and Cesar !!

They were married on Saturday Feb. 24 at a wedding chapel in Van Nuys, attended by many friends including Jillina of the BDSS who left her rehearsal for the show just to attend the nuptuals :)
The lovely ceremony was followed by a fun filled reception at their home with tons of yummy food and of course.....DANCING !!!!

Many Happy years together for them both!

Hi! I think Denise hasn´t been recognized recognised about the great talent she has yet. So, in www.elojodehorus.com, you can see in the interviews to the big arabian artists in Argentina, that Dany Shadrawy says Denise Arias is one of the most representative bellydancers and also Amir thaleb, his teacher in some of the answers in his interwiew ge talks about Denise Arias´s talent.
She is very recognized by the arabian artists and she si so young!!, besos, Valeria.
