Requeum for a Bus

Thats right, the bus is gone. After being towed by the city, almost $500 dollars later the starter was replaced and it was driven to Justins place last Wednesday, where it will live out the rest of its days. An interesting aside, the reason that it wouldn't pass smog, the starter died and the wiring kept melting is that the exhaust pipe was not connected at all on the drivers side, and barely hanging on on the passengers side, causing it to vent hot gas directly onto the starter. Oh well, that's Justin's concern now. The bus is gone, long live the bus!

Now, how, do you ask, does this effect me? Well, if you left anything on the bus, large or small, it's now sitting on our back porch area, and you need to come get it soon, especially if it won't do well in the rain. Whether you know it or not, you probably left something here, so you might want to stop by and check it out. We'd like to get everything out of here within the next week, but understand that that's gonna be more difficult for some than others. Keeping that in mind, we'd like to at least hear from people in the next week, and aim to have stuff gone in the next couple weeks, so let us know.

Farewell to the DoC Bus

Help!

Okay, so Unemployment stopped sendin' me checks a week after Burningman, and I'm kinda destitute. I hate to ask, but if any of the folks who rode the DoC could pitch in to help w/ some of the cash I dumped into repairs on the way out, it'd really help me w/ the little things like food and rent. I know I'm not the only broke one around, but if anyone spare anything, I'd appreciate it. THanks!
