the report from the playa is dust dust and more dust. we are advised to bring proper goggles without vents on the sides, something better than cheap raver goggles. also respirators are suggested. high winds are anticipated so secure everything real good, and bring warm clothes for cold nights.

from what i've read, it sounds like the 7-hour long dust storms of 2002 post-event are back. they were completely miserable, you couldn't see 10 feet in front of you, couldn't go anywhere because you'd just get lost and/or run into something. luckily it was after most people had left. we may not be so lucky this year, so be prepared.
