Dear Campers,

We are so excited that you're interested in camping with us at The Devil's Workshop & Day Spa , this year at Burning Man 2007. We're getting close to time to p= ack up and head home to Black Rock City.

This email contains a lot of information about our camp, including confirmation deadlines and payment details. You should begin receiving email from us once or twice a week from here on out! (If you've made other arrangements, please let us know to remove you from the list.)

Camp Ammenities

We plan to include lots of the comforts of home, including:

* We are covering every square inch of our camp in carpet!
* private camp shower
* two private (locked) porta-potties
* 2000 square feet of glorious shade
* meal plan with professional chef and kitchen staff
* biodiesel 75,000 WATT generator
* 180 square foot floating observation deck, 60 feet up!
* Two frozen margarita machines
* More perks just keep coming!

How To Confirm

We need to know if you're planning to camp with the Devil's Workshop & Day Spa by Friday, July 27. Please email crudeawakening.volunteer@gmail.com and include the following information:

1. Your name
2. Number and names of people camping with you
3. Arrival & Departure Dates
4. RV or tent?
4b. Number and approximate size of each
5. Are you part of the Crude Crew?
6. Are you participating in the meal plan?
6b. Are you a vegetarian?
7. Can you participate in break-down? (9/2-9/4)
8. Do you have any first-time burners in your group?
9. Special Needs or Comments


Dues Schedule*

Recommended form of payment is Paypal. (Click Send Money tab at www.paypal.com and enter dan@dandasmann.com) Alternately, you can bring cash to American Steel and give it to Dan. Make sure he writes it down.

The longer you wait, the more you pay. Here's the schedule:
before 7/27 » $75
7/28 - 8/5 » $85
8/6 - 8/10 » $100
after 8/10 » too late - no exceptions!

Meal Plan

We are so excited to announce that we have a professional chef camping with us who will be cooking up three healthy and delicious meals a day. Plenty of options for both carnivores and vegitarians will be offered and all of our vegetables will be organic. Best of all, the meal plan will only cost $20 per day for all three meals!

Watch your inbox for another email, soon, giving you more information about the meal plan, how it will work and how to sign up.

Camp Shifts

In order to keep our camp beautiful and comfy, we're asking that each camper volunteer to take two 4-hour shifts during the week. These will include things like kitchen clean-up, camp security, MOOP patrol, workshop or day spa monitoring, teaching classes in the workshop or day spa, etc. Before you arrive on the Playa, we will be asking you to sign-up for your shifts.

If for some reason, you miss a shift, please make it up. We rely on your contributions and talent to make this work!l

Managers Needed!

We need a few reliable souls who will be point people for various categories. This doesn't mean you do all the work, just be sure that someone is doing it.

* Water fill-ups and evaporation
* General Infrastructure
* MOOP Patrol
* Security
