A friend of mine from Muay Thai, Tyson, is seeking an *early* ride to the playa. He's hoping to head up Sunday or Monday, August 19 or 20. (He'd like to make it earlier, but he's got a big fight on the 18th. If you have the time, I highly recommend checking it out in SF-- www.borntofight.com )

Tue, August 7, 2007 - 11:36 PMhey, my name's layla and i'm looking for a ride to the playa sometime between the 24th and the 26th cause i'd like to be settled by mondya night. i can pitch in for gas of course and will treat the driver to a meal on the way... as far as getting back i can stay as late as the morning/afternoon of the 5th and would love to stay an extra couple days to help the camp break down. i live on treasure island and don't drive, so a ride to and from my house is essential as it would be really hard to get me and my gear anywhere... as far as gear, i would love, if i acquire one, to bring a bike... other than that some booze, some clothes, a tent, blankets and sleeping bags and pillows, etc... probably a good amount of gear but if necessary i can scale back. i'd rather not though....

I am lots of dusty fun and goodness coming from Toronto, and am really excited to be a part of this kickass camp with you! So, if you can rideshare me in/out, that'd be just lovely. I'm flying in from Toronto for my 3rd burn and am looking for (lower cost) options to get out onto and off of the playa - can share gas cash, but am a starving anthropologist looking to go on the cheaper end of thangs (like, not renting a car/bus/etc..)

Wed, August 8, 2007 - 9:40 PMAloha! I am part of the kitchen crew, flying in from Maui to Reno Airport on Sunday morning at 9am on the 26th. Need a ride to BRC, via a quick stop for water & snacks. I have 2 suitcases & small backpack. Can chip in for gas. Any trucks going by Reno between 9:00am & 12pm? I can hang in Reno for a while, if so.

Sat, August 11, 2007 - 6:28 PMWe are throwin' our names into the "Ride Needed" hat. X and Crash need a ride on Friday the 24th and back again on Tue. following the Burn. We wouldn't mind stopping for an overnight in Truckee, Reno, or elsewhere (we know a cheap Holiday Inn in Truckee with outdoor hottub!)
Pleeeeeze, if you can offer us a ride we'll be your best friend!
And also...still looking to share shade!

Mon, August 13, 2007 - 2:01 AMGot a truck & a trailer full of stuff going out on the 18th. Can carry a rider or two with minimal stuff. Got more stuff? You should have the ability to help pack the truck & trailer tightly and strap stuff on top of my truck. Desire to drive along with ability to tow trailer also a big plus. If you are skilled at hitching a trailer you are in like flynn. (Is that how you spell flynn? What is flynn) Deets:
Hitching trailer at Headless Point on Saturday the 18th. Time: as early as the lovely and talented Karen Cusolito says she is leaving, which means perhaps early and perhaps not so much. You must be flexible, and at the same time ready to go, cuz we gots to get there before dark on the 18th. It's early man burn and I want to be there with my man, Mr. 23. :-)
