I am one week into doing Body Opus - a cyclical ketogenic diet. For the most part, I am doing pretty good on it. The best part is that there is little hunger.
Has anyone ever done something similar?
About 2 days after my carb-up, I go into ketosis, but pretty much stay at 'trace' . I am not focusing too much on the scale or skin tests right now, as I want to get into a 'flow' first.

Re: Body Opus
Fri, March 2, 2007 - 1:02 PMi've done the NHE version of this - 8 days of "induction", then lo-carb for 3-4 days with a carb loading meal as the final meal. then repeat.
i found that i healed a LOT faster from my workouts, and had little hunger, as long as i ate plenty of protein and fat. but it was tough getting enough fiber without taking supplements. but ya - i found it worked great for keeping me burning and letting me continue to lift hard.

Mon, March 5, 2007 - 7:44 PMI never bothered with carb loading. Seemed too much trouble to go back into ketosis again.
My strength continued to increase (albeit at a slower rate than when I ate more), and my waist shrunk. Felt like a tool the whole time. I'll probably do it again at some point; it really seemed to melt off the fat. I didn't really feel hungry; just "cracked out."
