GothlaUK – RAQS Gothique (Gothic Bellydance)
About me:
Gothla UK will be a weekend event held in Leicester, UK in 2007. Emcompassing all things related to gothic belly dance and the goth scene.
GOTHLA DATES: 15th - 17th JUNE 2007
The weekend is currently in planning stages but will involve workshops, DJs, and of course, a Gothla (gothic hafla).
Core members are based all around the UK. If you would like to be involved in the event or have anything you think might be worth adding, please message us.

Hm, I have never actually been to a hafla, but I'd love to see some mendhi artists there. I adore mendhi, but I never seem to have the time to sit and get it done.
Would artwork be welcomed? I'm working on some flowers in silver which would look great as headdresses - if I can just figure out how to make them work! I also have a very easy, safe way to clean silver which I'm taking to various events and things. people may like the antiqued tribal look to their jewelry, but if there's work they'd like polishing up, I can manage it -

Sounds spectacular and exciting! I'm hoping to find some dancers near where I live (In East Sussex or nearby) who would be interested in doing some dance collaboration in the New Year. Ideas have been bubbling up in the creative cauldron...
Been working on some dances that blend Tribal/Ancestral/Pagan dance that have some theatrical/historical references. I'll keep in touch about the Gothla - hope you get lots of interest!

We have Tempest of the Gothic Bellydance Fame coming over for the Gothla - she also offers workshops on including ritual and incantations....
