HELLO GRILLED CHEESE ENTHUSIASTS!
It is with nearly-orgasmic pleasure that I tell you we have solidified the date for the 1st Annual Austin Grilled Cheese Invitational....
AND THAT DATE IS Saturday March 22, 2008
The Austin Grilled Cheese Invitational is the first regional Grilled Cheese Invitational in Texas. The winners of this regional will be offered places to compete in the National Invitational in Los Angeles in April, and the winner of the Best in Show will win a plane ticket to sunny southern California for the event. There will be trophies. There will be cheese. It will be amazing.
Details about pre-registration and location will be available soon, but do mark your calendar and let everyone you know to mark their respective calendars.
When the registration does open, there will be only 40 competitors, no exceptions. So before registration opens (in about 3 weeks), be thinking about what category you will compete in, what the name of your sandwich will be, and whether your sandwich will be vegetarian. (All of this information will be required at registration.)

It takes a lot of work to make this thing happen. WE need help in
all sorts of areas including the Bar, Merchandise Table, Data entry,
event security, clean up and set up. It's a really fun time and
none of the work is really all that bad. If you would like to give
us a hand in putting this ridiculous spectacle on, go ahead and
