hi all,
for those of you who don't know, i am deedee's cousin and should be living in spain by the time you make this trip. also, i have been to ibiza, so i figured i could answer any questions you might have about accommodations there. here are a few things to think about:

-ibiza is HOT during the day, and since most of the time that is when you will be sleeping, you want a place that has an air conditioner. TRUST ME, it's worth the extra money, have a few less drinks (i know, blasphemy!) every day and that should cover the difference.

-i don't konw how long you intend to spend in ibiza, but if you can get a villa, you should. many of them accommodate 20 people easily, and no one checks on you if you have more than the limit staying there. and per person, it's usually the cheapest way to go, especially if you have more people than they figure for. and, since you're not sharing walls with anyone like at a hotel or hostel, no one will be upset when you want to conitnue the party at your place and blast some music by the pool.

-if you do decide to stay at a hotel, some of them include breakfast and dinner, and it's more than what you'd expect. if i remember correctly, these particular hotels are labelled as "clubhotels". but again, make sure you request a room with an a/c, it is not standard.

-for barcelona, stay in the area known as "la rambla" or maybe it's "las ramblas", something like that. close to everything, lots of hostels, cheap restaurants, bars and sights to see.


that's all i can think of for now. i am sure i will remember more, so i will post more as i think of it, but feel free to ask questions, i'll answer what i can.
