Sun, March 23, 2008 - 11:18 AMi have my kids but yeah you guys can totally. if the movie is not appropriate i'll just play with them or do something else but there is no reason we cant have a movie party here. I wouldnt want it to turn into a late night but a movie /popcorn /and a little dancing seems fine to me -

Re: So...
Sun, March 23, 2008 - 9:48 PMcan we have a movie friday the 28th at our house? we have an outdoors where we have done it before on a neighbor's garage. if it rains, we have the movie screen inside. It has been on Burner Time, but have not reminded people, since it was originally wrote by rob in a thread somewhere weeks ago. We have room in the house or whatever for thriller too.
Wayward said we have a lovely house to damage.
everyone's welcomed.
We have nice neighbors too, who have been warned, and have been expecting a little bit off-of-their-comfort-level for movie choice or whatever. Our neighbors have heard some stories.
It is a gated area too, that could help for movie choice.
sound good? -

Re: So...
Sun, March 23, 2008 - 9:57 PMlets do it when Blazing can come too! the gym in his building is the best place to practice. The wall of mirrors and space make all the difference! yay! -

Re: So...
Sun, March 23, 2008 - 10:00 PMno offence intended to Blazing Sun...can we have a movie night without him? I would think we'd have many movie nights...people come when they can and want to come...
I like the idea of movie night outside at Rob and Serena's this getting to be an awesome time of year for that
and perhaps the movie would be appropriate for Blazing Sun and his spawn..? -

Re: So...
Sun, March 23, 2008 - 10:39 PMwe have scheduled this in February and our neighbor's have expressed an interest so we are not going to reschedule, but if you can't make it that's fine.
i can't even figure out how to check Burner Time without a link spoon fed to me. So i didn't expect everyone to realize this was still scheduled.
i hope you decide to come. i love BS' spawn.

Sun, March 23, 2008 - 10:55 PMlooks like rob had a burner time user error and it was not on the calendar, but on his own personal google calendar. Now it is up there.

Mon, March 24, 2008 - 8:27 AMYAY!!!
I'm there.
Movie?? Any suggestions?
-
-
Re: So...
Mon, March 24, 2008 - 7:37 AMyeah of course, dont worry about me. Rob's place sounds like fun. I'll be more forward with times that we can do it at my place next time. your right warward there will be ample opportunities in the future. im sure there will be enough open dates in April. plus i'll probably bring the boys to rob and serena's so my spawn can get that outdoor experience. -

Friday Movie Night
Mon, March 24, 2008 - 10:06 AMthe courtyard is very nice and so are the neighbors.
the neighbors go outside about once a week and it is a nice atmosphere.
we were not thinking of eating, except a bunch of finger food and getting sloshed beverages. but there is a gas grill barbecue that we could use.
movie suggestions? or what does anyone want to bring for my viewing pleasure?
doesn't it have to be a movie with 1/8 brain neccessity. or do i have to think?
double feature? -

Re: Friday Movie Night
Mon, March 24, 2008 - 10:15 AMI'm on the Lemonade again, so have no opinion about the food, but how about a Bollywood movie?!! Barring that, I'm thinking something festive or surreal that's more light-hearted than intense or complicated. It would be great if it were something we'd all been meaning to see but never got around to, and maybe subtitles are best avoided?
Completely contradicting myself, you guys ever seen Ravenous? Or, more to my thoughts, maybe we could watch a musical or something from the 60s or 70s...

Re: Friday Movie Night
Thu, March 27, 2008 - 9:28 AMi think oneiro's milk movie from new zealand sounds good too!
i can look for both of them at that store on gaston and abrams.
i didn't even have time to read all the lists yet.
and i don't know any of the movies.
almost famous was great, so i know one reference.
i will have food (pre made) and drinks. we are not gonna plan on barbecueing, because of the work involved.
