Anyone seen this? I thought it was cheesy at first and unlike just about every other movie it actually got better as it developed. Probably best film of catastrophe sub-genre. Makes Cloverfield look like a douche, The Happening a big pile of shit, every zombie movie ever just a little off the mark, and all those giant rock hits earth or alien invader features childish and stupid.

Just keep staring at the signal.

I couldn't find this on at blockbuster so i had to buy it! Wow it was worth the wait! It's unrated! It's from the same director of Hedwig and the Angry Inch! ( which was brilliant as well) I've never seen a movie like this! I bought it because i'm a perv! i had read some reviews about it that had my panties screaming for more! this friday night 80's movie and dance party

OK, so for those of you that dont have plans this friday night were there's going to be an 80's themed movie at South side on Lamar in the 3rd floor theater and after we watch the movie will be going to Cape Buffalo in Addison for Weid's brothers 80's new wave band. If you cant go to both meet go to one. THe movie should get going around 7:30 there will be popcorn, pizza rolls, and mojitos plus whatever anybody wants to drink or eat and we will leave to go dancing and partying around 10: oclock. Perhaps there might be an afterparty somewhere. Costumes should be, you know totally radical. message me with questions

Hey ya'll!! I just realized I've never seen a Bollywood movie (except the snippet in Ghost World, which i thought was the bom-diggity!!) Any suggestions? I'd prefer no subtitles if possible, but either way, what's a good, fun, dancy, musicy Bollywood flick you like?

I'm also feeling like watchin' some other movies- what are some good humor, sci-fi and action flicks that are out on DVD?

I was wondering if any of you had netflix?

If so, you can become "friends" on there as well and see what your friends are watching and recommending. When Anji and I first started dating we became friends on their and had a 93% similarity. Which is shocking as the most I've ever seen with complete strangers is around 20%.

I'm not suggesting this as a way to immerse yourselves further in the quagmire of social networking sites, but I have a feeling that many of you are watching more films than what you're reporting on....

I know I am.

If you wanna see some A-M-A-Z-I-N-G documentary footage, go rent the BBC Planet Earth series. It's beautiful and exposes your retinas to some things that quite frankly they will NEVER see otherwise.

++PLUS++ you can bone up on your dating/mating techniques. I've got the birds of paradise mating dances down pat, and let me tell you... Anji is MOST impressed.

Liquid Sky (1983) - Cheesy 80s. Great fashion and dialog. Special interest note: Otto von so and so did the sound track and also did the music to Madonna's first single "Cosmic Climb" b/w "We Are the Gods?"

Dr. Caligari (the 1989 whack-o version) - no not the German expressionist master piece. This is the SoCal, avant, theatrical, low budget sequel. Borderline porn with tons of weird and fantastic quotable dialog.

Until the End of the World (1991) - Wim Wender's epic journey around the world predicting what the year 2000 will be like and the ability to record and playback your dreams. Landmark soundtrack with music made specifically for the film by Talking Heads, U2, Can, Nick Cave and many more...

Contact (1997) - Jodie Foster travels far far away in a nanosecond. I haven't seen this one since it was at the theater. I remember thinking it was really good.

BBC series

i've rented two show of these and they are both great shows! First one is Shameless. It's about family struggling to survive after their mom runs off! and their father is a drunk! they are being raised by thier older sister! it's hilariously witty, dirty and gritty! it's easy to fall in love with the cast!
The second is called State of Play. This one moves at real fast pace. It's an investigative journalist who dunnit type flick! Lot's cheeky banter and my favorite actor is in both of these! Horay for James Mcavoy! I lick him alot!
