Re: New Diva Game....
Mon, November 6, 2006 - 6:45 AMoh, boy........tough one! I think I'd have to say black eyeliner for sure....and mineral powder foundation. I can bite my lips to make them red, pinch my cheeks to make them blush, curl my eyelashes on the back of my finger to make them stand out more, but nothing can stand in for eyeliner, and mineral powder foundation will smooth my complexion and make it less shiny at the same time.
(oh, and I'll be cussing myself out the whole time. Left your make-up bag at home!!! What on *earth* were you thinking???)

Mon, November 6, 2006 - 1:39 PMOne of those 4 in one shadows - try and find one with a black or dark blue- use this as eye liner and can darken eyelashes by wetting it- if there is also pink - cheeks and lips-same wetting.
The other item - a face powder - I have oily skin -

Mon, November 6, 2006 - 1:43 PMoh, Devi--*good* one! I use my eyeshadow as liner all the time by wetting a thin brush; why didn't I think of this?

Re: New Diva Game....
Wed, November 8, 2006 - 12:20 PMEye Kandy ( I'm sure I wouldn't find that in a store, but then again I probably won't ever forget my make-up bag) and one of those gel or cream blushes. They can work as lip stain and a bit of eyecolor.......

Re: New Diva Game....
Wed, November 8, 2006 - 6:46 PMOOh, excellent question! (first post here, HI EVERYBODY!) :>
I think I'd get a pinky/brown lipstick (can do double (triple?) duty as blush and eyeshadow) and a black powder mascara (can double as eyeliner). Then I think I'd have to beg for glitter. heh heh heh -

Re: New Diva Game....
Thu, November 9, 2006 - 4:46 AMblack eyeliner and dark reddish brown blusher.
the blusher can act as eyeshadow, blusher AND lipcolour.
the eyeliner can heavily line the eyes and can also be used as a light lipliner....you put the blush on the lips after you
line them to blend the black liner in :-)

Re: New Diva Game....
Thu, November 9, 2006 - 6:21 PMOk so here is my answer.....alot of times when I go some where to dance I will take my case...if anyone has ever seen me in the dressing room they know my case is really a tool box...yes a real tool box but it is kind of girly white plastic with teal accents...I started with a bag then a small makeup case and now a tool box....it takes me two hours to get ready for the stage...I put on my diva ego as i put on my makeup....
but tonight i am going to dance at a nursing home tonight, I have a cold and two small children....no time for the tool box....so I will use two things when I get ready....black powder eyeshadow and shimmery powder highlighter....I wet a cotton swab and dip it into the black powder and rim my eyes then I put black in the crease of my eyelid....I then put that shimmery powder all over my eyelid....accenting the inside corner of my eyes....I put a little under my eyes to cover the dark circles....rub my lips together to make them turn red and pinch my cheeks....then i dust my face, shoulders, and chest with the shimmer powder and you have instant diva.....
It is important to remember black eyeliner is all you really see on stage...the shimmery powder stands out when the light hits it so any flaws are covered....hehehe....keep writing I love every ones ideas...... -

Re: New Diva Game....
Sat, November 11, 2006 - 6:09 PMblack eyeliner, I dance tribal so tatooes are the most important, then a glossy medium lipstick for cheeks also and line the lips with black.

Re: New Diva Game....
Sun, November 12, 2006 - 11:04 AMPer my husband...
Black eye liner and colored eye shadow.
Because: lip stick not needed because we are not "that kind of dancer". Between the eye shadow and eye liner you make the highest impact on the audiance.
and he added in his flare with worlds.. " you are all beautiful and don't need all that extra stuff anyway"

Re: New Diva Game....
Sun, November 26, 2006 - 6:17 PMHmmm....Xanax for one! Then, I'll go along with Devi's idea of an eyeshadow duo or trio with a dark charchol color in it, and a reddish brown color. You can do alot with eyeshadow.

Re: New Diva Game....
Fri, July 6, 2007 - 11:37 PMBig furry false eyelashes (a package that included both top and bottom) and bright red lipstick.
Bright stage lights and flash photography wash out eyes and lips. The main focal points of the face are eyes (always) and lips(frame for your smile). If I only have enough for two items, I'd want the focal points to stand out.

Re: New Diva Game....
Sat, July 7, 2007 - 7:33 PMA black eyeshadow crayon and red lipstick. The crayon because it can be both shadow and liner (and with black I don't have to worry about my eyelashes - no one could see them through the shadow/liner anyway!), the lipstick because my lips are really pale so they need color, and because if you dab some lipstick on your fingers and then rub it into your cheeks, it doubles as blush. Yay for multitasking!
