We all see them, the Good, the Bad, the Ugly.....tantrams thrown by other Diva's or maybe ourselves....we laugh, we giggle, we are dumbfounded by their behavior. So know is a time to share with your fellow Diva's...no using names or places.....be discreet but that is all tell us what made it so funny or so memorable.....have fun....Susan
P.S. Here is mine......so a few years ago I helped host an event....just as a group of students were taking the stage I noticed that one of girls panties were showing through her skirt badly....so I started to pull her skirt over while explaining what was wrong just in time for her to whip around on me and slap my hand away and tell me that "IT WAS SUPPOST TO BE LIKE THAT" I was dumbfounded, I had just three questions.....1. Did a performer just step on my stage with her starry drawrs' shining in all their glory....2. Did she really mean for them to show....3. Did that Bitch just Slap my Hand away.......so her teacher was not there but I made damn sure that she knew every detail including asking those three questions....now here comes the true Diva Part......I refused to ever let that student ever step on a stage that had my name on it....I pushed someone away that I had known for a very long time and respected because of one of her students behavior even though she could not control it...happens all the time we see students as a reflection on their teacher....and expect a teacher to control their students....funny that works about as well as me trying to control my two year old.....ok so now I know....I got off track....so where was the teacher?....she had a loved one pass away and couldn't be at the event I caught her right after she got home from being with her family....I can be such a cold hearted bitch....such a Diva....in the really ugly way.....hopefully having children has made me a better person.....hopefully my Diva is a good Diva now.....I have since said my "I'm Sorry I'm a totally bitch" to that teacher but there is a moral of this story....no matter what a student does always respect the teacher or one better, slap the bitch back and tell her to fix her damn costume....hehehehe

Re: Time for another Diva game....this time I want to hear what is the best tantram you have ever seen...
Mon, January 15, 2007 - 7:18 PMoh my....you know I am not so sure I would have let it go if it had been me she slapped. I probably would have pointed out the number of years dance experience you have vs. hers [student not the teacher]
I guess I have been really lucky. The contest have always been fun, and the dancers great. At Bellydancer USE we have fun in the back, keep everyone smiling, try not to be nervous etc.
But... when I first started I had a teacher who was all about the money. Did not matter how good or BAD you were. If you paid then you got to dance. She charged all the "Troupe" students to dance with her for her paying 'gigs'. Then one night someone pointed out that one of the dancers wasn't very good. She pulled the dancer aside and said you need to sit a watch for a few months until you figure it out... but you still have to pay to be in class. Then she brought in a beginner to replace her ! At this point all the legitimate dance students found themselves new teachers.
I have limited my interactions with her over the last couple years. I think she is better but.... always keeping that one at a safe distance. -

Thu, January 18, 2007 - 1:41 AMOh come on you have not had the chance to see a belly dancer be to big for her belt....some day...some day you will....of course I truly hope you don't.....it is not so good really.....I being a tradional dancer with a love for egyptian cab. I do really truly believe that cab dancers don't share as well as tribal dancers and they really don't think they play very well with others.....I guess that is why I like to call my self a tradional dancer....more of a late 70's early 80's love for others...while still loving beaded fringe.....
