I love that you used brass toned studs and buttons. VERY pretty, and more antiqu-y looking. Gave it depth. Where did you find them? And I wonder if my setter will take those?

I got the studs & chain through Kit Kraft... They have lots of great stuff! : )

Did you use a swim suit top for the base?

Beautuful!!! Is that a Bedazzler??? Do they sell those at a regular store or do I have to order one online. Great idea!

Karizma, I am trying to make a bra from a swimsuit top as well. Did you take out the little pads they put in the top before embellishing it? Your top is awesome!

Thanks Ya'll... Yup, the base is a swim suit top I bought at Walmart for $13. It didn't come with any type of removable padding, just a thin pad already sewn to the inside (which I did not remove). I bought my BeDazzler from Joanne Fabrics for $7 with a coupon - most of the studs fit in (1/2" don't, so you'll have to buy a separate plunger or do them by hand). It works pretty well, but a little difficult to get all the prongs set on thicker fabric. Please note that if you try this (covering & embellishing) you should buy a size larger than you normally wear. I was not prepared for the amount of shrinkage from all the pretties and had to sew in some extra cups and fabric for a peek-a-boo effect afterwards to keep from flashing everyone! : )

Happy sewing!
