i believe im going to remake my Wonder Woman costume from last year. Sadly I cannot fit into last years costume. Id rather not talk about why :(

It was a tough decision, I really wanna do the little mermaid and the orginal pink power ranger but I need to lose little bit of weight if my going to do the power ranger, lycra bodysuits dont look so nice when youre shaped oddly.

Here is some shameless promoting....Please vote for me....I like to win stuff, shoot i'd do it for you!!!. and well my costume that I made kicks butt. catzia.com/ContestEntree.htm

and I have not had any requests to do anyones costume so I can just focus on me :) Although little sissy hasnt told me what she wants to be yet, she was spiderman last year (she's 4!)

well my halloween costume is pretty boring and natural... its me only with longer fangs XD
I'm short with a short and spunky hair cut and i'm a punk and dress it too so I'm going as my fav book character Alice Cullen from the Twilight books by Stephianie Meyers.

the next day is ren-fest and i'll be wearing my belly dance costume.

Sadly - we (the hubby & I) don't *do* Halloween. So, I live Halloween through the kidlets and I'm not making their costumes. I have enough on my plate right now. We'll bop over to one of the costume stores in the next week or so.

i'm still working on reinforcing and zazzing up my oceany belt, and i need (read "want") a few more bits for the bra

then the rest of the time is going to the voodoo costume, i have skirts and wraps that will work, just need some kind of top
and what the heck to wear as a shoe... if i could find some of those ultra thin reedy flip flops from walmart, that would be great

then for Yallahween, i think i'm going to adapt my bride of frankenstein into something danceable, since the theme is zombies and she's an amalgamation of corpses, re-animated =p

and my pirate costume isn't changing this year, i have all the bits (oh i need to get new fishing nets) and i'm just going to reprise =p

there's a zombie walk in omaha this year!!! whoo!

this year i am going to be vampira again, since she passed this year. i already have a costume from a halloween past. i have had someone ask me to make them a poison ivy costume so far this year. last year i made a lily munster costume for me, and a jessica rabbit for my daughter. that was a challenge, the deeply low, scooped-out back, and making it so the front didn't fall off!

I like to do pagan costumes and powerful women...last year, I was Morrighan...the year before, a Celtic warrior woman...and a few years before that, I went as a crow.

Haven't decided what to do this year, but I've got a slamming new feather mask that I made, so I might just work something around that...we'll see...

Samhain (Hallowe'en) is my favourite holiday...it's sooooo much fun!!!

Hosting a Steam Punk party this year - and there will be bellydancing to go with it, so I need to come up with an outfit that does double duty.

    (haha, I said duty)

    Ahem

I have the fabric, the concept, part of a finished hat, music and no choreo yet. Also making the hubby an outfit.

    Clock is a ticking....

I don't know what I'm wearing yet - maybe a galabeya. Anyway, for my husband, I'm making him a mummy costume. I have the base of the shirt, pants, and hood done, but now I'm hand sewing each overlapping strip in place. When I'm all done with that, I'll add the hieroglyphs and jewelry later. I think I need to give him mummy make-up too.

I love making costumes for my kids!

My 7 year old daughter has put in her order for a Han Solo costume (original costume with black vest).
My 5 year old son has gone from a scorpion, to Terry Fox, to ... I will have to pressure him for a final decision.

Me? I have a bin full of costumes already; many that I have made and not even worn. I wonder if my kids think that all moms have a big bin of dress-ups.

i got melos (black sash) for my birthday and they are going with a black bra with silver indian bells and coins, which is going with a cet mask and ears. belly dancey black cat ^_~
i am also almost done making tombstones and ghosts to add to our decorations. for YEARS we would go all out on halloween and last year i was at school and my parents got lazy. wouldn't you know it's the year some people come from (north? south?) carolina to visit their relatives and to see our house! (we live in upstate new york!) so we promised we'd do it this year, and it's gonna kick a-* the stones look real in low light, and we just put the lettering on. i'll add "acid rain" when we put them in the ground and then we have to figure out the whole set up... ANYWAY, yheah, it'll be interesting to be scaring children with my arms and belly out in the cold.... i'll have to work that out.....

Sadly I'm pretty scary looking without a costume. The one time I did dress up for Halloween I answered the door to a trick or treater dressed as a vampire and the kid was so terrified he wet himself. Never again.

We've got a show called Harem Scarem in Cardiff I think but I may just stick to traditional bellydance wear. If not then I may wear black.

Problem is, Samhain is a joyous time for me, it's about remembering those that have passed on while the veils between worlds are at their thinnest, not really about dressing up as scary stuff. I think I'd rather wear things that remind me of those that I've lost.

Ah well I have a few ideas of what i would like to dress as, and I just got a make up kit that i am itching to find any excuse to play with, but alas, i have used moved and dont know anyone and dont have any party to go to!

Was thinking it would be cool to go as a dead Mary Antoinette since i have darker hair, or maybe a gothic belly dancer, cos i want an excute to by all the bits and bobs i want for my gothic costume, but i dont know where I would get what I want, and I dont really have everything here with me in the place we just moved to, and I'm not sure how I would make it.

Ah I love dressing up, and apart from my birthday (which i decided had to be fancy dress, I went as Poison Ivy) I havent been to anything for the last 2 years! Dam im getting a bit sick of moving and not knowing anyone! hahaha
looking forwards to seeing everyones photos tho :)

Check around the area for local dance troupes or classes...alot of them have Halloween haflas and we all know how friendly the dance community is. :-)

Otherwise, look for any haunted houses that may be going on...always fun to go to those and you can dress up and have fun, too...

Just put yourself out there and you'll have new friends before you know it!

hum my halloween plans didn't go as expected, we all decided to be vampires from the Twilight books by Stephanie Meyers...basically i got to wear what i wear every day XD lol for the ren fest because i didn't get a skirt done in time i just put on my old pirate outfit for "pirate's weekend" but i was able to buy a few things for belly dancing ^_^ I bought a pair of zills and a silver anklet! (on top of that i got a gold goddess pendant, a short sword, and Jack Sparrow's dragon ring)

we actually had a halloween party on the 31st, on the first of nov. we had ren fest and after ren fest we went to autumn's house again for her birthday party ^_^
