I have always made my tassels on a CD case, or a small book or whatnot but I just ran across this very easy method that I wanted to share with you. It seems easier than my way and who knows...maybe you'll like it too. :)

I normally use an old VHS box, and struggle with it everytime...but this, this looks fool proof! Such an ingenius way to go about it!

Tue, November 27, 2007 - 8:36 PMWell, I tested this out, and with thick cardboard from a diaper box (hey, I have kids) it was looking a little wonky after 4 tassels, so I think you'd need to replace the template pretty regularly. It's still good though, I could probably get 15-20 tassels before it got too bent out of shape. I like the concept, I think a thicker material would be good for the template. It definitely was quick! I usually use old VHS cassette boxes or small children's board books to wind tassels. -

Wed, November 28, 2007 - 3:29 PMwhen i used to make tassel belts for sale I made a template like this out of wood....lasted much longer...I had a few sizes.
they are way easy to make out of wood too...just need a handy husby with a jigsaw :) -
