I bought new boots last weekend.
I bought new wrap pants and swore w/ the purchase of said new boots I was allowed no more.
I bought the Asharah DVD.
and stupid me went to The Pin Cushion (cute little fabric store abuot a half mile from the job site)
dammit.
Already planning in my head my next costume... I'll just go to look. Uh huh
walked out with 7 yards of black and 7 yards of plum for my circle skirts. dammit!
sigh. but it makes me happy... grumble grumble.... so does new tires and a new windshield..buuuuut no. I went and spent tire money on fabric.
I'm a bad bad person.
Now. the question is... how does one wash georgette... I'm assuming I can go cold/cold on it, I didn't think it would shrink... so I just didn't buy any more. Or should I got warm/warm? yipes... I'm not good with exciting fabrics.. I only do boring ones. Like cotton. =)

I love it... ALthought I never try to fully deprive myself. I bargin.. if I want it something else has to give (vacation... no new suimsuit, no pro-hair colour, just the cut... no new pants etc etc) But I do try to moderate, and stretch it out over my paychecks. I just managed to not this time, usually its one goodie for me a month. I splurgged DON'T JUDGE ME CAUSE I'M WEAK! -

I try to moderate, too. I stopped getting my really expensive skincare for a while...suffering now, tho. And stopped coloring my hair by the pro, suffering now, tho.
Good thing is, I now have my husband addicted to sewing and my belly dancing, so I get less crap about my splurges.

And then they stop. think(sort of) laugh think it's really 'funny' and then realize it's more about the crazy bitch part cause it makes me laugh and walk around w/ said shit eating grin on my face. And they pretty much don't mess with me. Its GREAT!

the question on washing georgette...i have usually washed it by hand, but i have been known to be overly cautious in that area! i have georgette tops that i wash by hand and hang to dry, because i have put some in the machine and they came out all wonky after. -

I was looking on a few sites, they were kind of vague given that it can be made w/ silk or poly. I think mine is poly at 6/a yard... it's a good guess. But beggars can't be picky.
So. Figuring it to be a 100% poly... I would go warm warm with it... the harshest it will see (I very rarely wash hot, mostly cold, even w/ seperate piles, of the oh so colorful wardrobe. Blacks... grays... and whites and one tiny pile of color dominated by red)
then it will probably only be by hand. Hmmmm. I'll give me madre a call too. gather more data) more data is never a bad thing. I tend to be weird about washing... half of the... do your worst to it to start... and half OH god... it's a costume, hand wash everything!

I try to treat myself to a little something on a regular basis...cuz I know if I don't, that at some point, I'll end up going overboard...hence the wrap pants...kuchi's...dvd's....just stuff...but I usually only get one or two things at a time...that way, I still have money left over to feed the kids...*giggle* -

Sat, May 17, 2008 - 8:52 AMI usually wash all my bellydance clothes in cold/cold with Woolite. Then put them in the dryer on air dry (NO HEAT) or hang them up to dry. If you use the air dry you may need to put your clothes through 2 or 3 cycles since there is no heat to dry them. -

I go to Jo's to look at trims and I walk out with beads, trim, fabric, and random decorations. And I still can't put what I've gotten so far in to a design that I am happy with...
Besides that I just bought a case of bindi's, a new berber necklace, and a Tempest hair thingy.
I still need to buy coins, and a kuchi for the center piece, only have 3 weeks, have $0 for spending now, and know that there will be so many things I will want to buy at Spring Caravan. -
