I wanted a new skirt... SOOOOO I found some nice sheer white curtains my mom had laying around and cut them ^_^ I threadded yarn through the rod-holes to hold it up temporarily until I can get something to make a waistband from and used 2 panels of the curtains for a front and back... It's really see-through but it looks nice! I'll post pics later ^_^

Sat, May 3, 2008 - 6:44 PMNice job! I never thought to use the curtain rod loop as a casing. Freakin brilliant! I'm a lazy seamstress, so anything that saves time and work is a bonus. :) -

Re: my make-do skirt!
Mon, May 5, 2008 - 7:31 AMshould probabally use something other than yarn if you do lol i just tied mine in a bow and pulled the bow through the hole of the curtain -- it hasn't fallen off yet OR come undone, and it's a semi easy way to get the thing off when needed but it also keeps showing, so maybe there's another way to do it hmmm
and i'm glad you guys like it ^_^
