Any ideas on how to create the pompom headress for the melaya leff. I was thinking of little yarn pompom thingys, but what are they attached to? A head scarf or what? Pictures and ideas would be greatly appreciated!

In this one it looks at though she used pompoms glued or sewed onto her head scarf:

And in the one it looks like ribbon roses were used, which you can find instructions for making all over the Internet, or you can buy premade ones at craft stores:
