  • Oooh...a baby belly dancer...YAY!!!

Good luck...kids can be a pain, but we never regret them...even when they're sitting next to you, begging to use your computer to download songs to their iPods...;-)
    • LOL!
Well my daughter, who's going to be four next month, is very excited to be a sister... as long as its a girl :)
I keep telling her we don't get to choose, it's a surprise... but she's insisting. LOL
And trust me, she is always a pain, but I love her anyway. My MIL tells me my husband had the exact same attitude at her age... good to know where it comes from, hehe.
It's hard to imagine I won't be alone with her anymore. It's just been me and her and hubby for so long.
Anyone have advice on having multiple kids? One is hard enough it seems, lol.
      • Congrats Lisha!!!
as far as advice the hardest thing that I had to learn is that crying will not kill either of them. Let the baby cry for a minute if your almost done cooking dinner or whatever. Its heartbreaking, but the baby will be ok. I have 4 kids and had to learn that quickly.
      • Having multiples (I have 2 almost 3 years apart) is not that hard. They can become each other's best friends. You will find that you are not as uptight about the little things this time around, so the older one wants to wear rubber boots and shorts in July. Fine, she's expressing herself. Just make sure you allow some Mom time so that you don't get overtired. Hopefully the older one is potty trained, two in diapers at the same time is not fun. Let the older one "help" with the baby, they gain so much from it and it will be a help for you.

Let each be their own personality, you will find that they are probably as different as night and day, they are not clones of each other. Let them know that life is not fair, just because one kid gets something, it doesn't mean that the other one automatically gets something. My ex tried the enforce the "separate but equal" doctrine and it caused a lot of problems.

Just let them be kids. Love them unconditionally, but make sure they know that the world does not revolve around them.
  • CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!

Why wait 9 months for photos, I'm gonna wanna see those ultrasound images! You got what another 6ish weeks for the first one??

From someone who delivered almost 8 mo ago, and had back labor, it wasn't as bad as I was expecting. My lil moose(boy) decided he had to come out looking at everyone, but I really only had about an hour where the pain was hard to focus through. I also went from a 70hr labor with my daughter to approx 10hrs with my lil moose, and he was almost twice her size. Just the same, being able to realize what was hurting and being able to do gentle hip movements helped ease the pressure. It also didn't hurt that my lower abs & back muscles were much stronger this last time 'round. Dance for as long as you feel comfortable, it really does help.

There's a really great pregnancy tribe called Pregnancy and it's Ups and Down. All of the ladies there are really really super fantastic and helpful, even if this is your second go 'round.

    OHHHHH! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • At five weeks my pants are already tightening up, but I have to say my L. Rose Velvet Bellbottoms are just about the best thing to wear. They have a V cut in the front of the waist band, and dip below my belly. I'm pretty sure I can wear them until the end, I'm thinking of ordering at least two more pairs, if not more, before then. :) They are offering a fold over panel now, like in a lot of yoga pants, and I think that might work as nicely as the V :)
As for harem pants, I got 'em and some of my cotton tribal skirts have draw strings so I can wear those forever as well. :)
I'm also investing in a pair of five tier pants next payday... and since they are drawstring I can probably wear them quite a while as well.

My best friend just had a baby three months ago. So she has tons of tops to lend me, and she's very into the same styles as me so it will all go nicely with my dance things.
