Almost three months ago, Angelina passed the baton to me.

tribes.tribe.net/diycostum...2203b0ac9c
"The time has come for a new moderatrix"......back about 3 pages, August ((in case you can't use my *link* - I'm not so good at getting those to work))

Anyway, her efforts with the changeover seem to have gotten lost in tribe's big cracks of trouble. So, I'm asking folks to chime in here - so we can send this on to the powers-that-be (or not, whichever the case).

How say you??

    Hi ya'...

Per instructions, there needs to be a *consensus* among the members to appoint a new moderator. We've got 2890 members and I'd venture to say the bulk of these don't post very often, if at all. So I think if there is 1% - 2% agreement ((roughly 50-60 people)), then we have a consensus. Agreed??

We're halfway there now - so if you folks who read, but don't post would mind chiming in - we can get this on it's way to the tribe folks.

And, for those who have posted, thanks. I appreciate it more than you know.

      Dear Tribe....
I know you're having mental problems right now, but could you please make Etana the moderator of this tribe?
      Thank you.

Not that i was 'drunk with power' or anything when I was modding, but wouldn't it be simpler for tribe to just go by the choice of the previous moderator and have that be enough to change the power over? I get that Tribe is a democracy and all, but why have mods at all if you aren't going to let them pass the tribe to whomever they choose despite the size of the group? Is a group of 2800 people more of a democracy than a group of 100? Cuz i was able to give my smaller tribes away instantly...strange that the size of the group should suddenly mean a vote has to be cast...what if the other tribes I gave away didn't like my choice of mod? They had no chance to vote at all!

Just sayin'! Now I'm blarbing, as my yoga teacher would say....

    Another vote for Etana! :)

They must have changed that rule since the last time I read up on it. I thought you only needed 3 votes. -_-
