This is great... these are my two favorite instruments to play. I'm just so pleased there is a tribe out there for the both of them. : )
does anybody know of any good recordings out there documenting the beautiful and powerful sound of these two sounds intertwining?
Also, is there anybody else, besides me, who has mastered or at least experimented with playing these instruments simultaneously?
keep playing...

Fri, June 15, 2007 - 11:14 AMBrother Damian,
As I've 'mastered' neither, I cannot comment on that. I am curious how you play both at the same time. Are you using a stand for your didj and if so, where did you get it. The only ones I see online are on Ebay in Oz and the one LA Outback has listed as "sold out" in their catalog every time I check. I would love to play my sticks hands-free so I can do some hand percussion, keys, or guitar (none of which I've mastered either).
Any suggestions on hands-free didj playing from others in this Tribe would also be appreciated. Perhaps there is an existing music stand that works for didgeridoos? For all I know, the stands being sold may actually be originally intended for another instrument or purpose.
Thanks!

Re: AMAZING
Tue, June 19, 2007 - 4:05 PMI have built a stand for hands free didj playing. It was all custom metal work and not cheep but very sturdy and can hold 4 didj's. I will post some photos when I get a chance. I perform playing bass and didj at the same time. To make a stand that can handle the weight of eucalyptus didj's i needed to custom fabricate just about every piece.
If any one has any specific questions let me know otherwise i will post that pic soon.
Be well

Wed, June 20, 2007 - 6:18 AMI, for one, have a hard time even TALKING and drumming at the same time, ---- like when my kids were very small and they would run through our practice...I would have to pause drumming between major beats, to tell them to not try to kill each other.....I cannot imagine playing a dij and a drum at the same time. Very cool!
