Has some cat got your tongue?
Silencing that voice
From which such sweet songs
Have been sung?

And hushing that heart
That golden place where
Such evocative pictures
Have sprung?

I howled at the moon
When it filled the sky
Cacophonous silence
Was the reply

Where are you hound?
Oh canine
Oh pooch
Hey Sweet Bow-Wow
I'm sending you a hug
And a big 'ole smooch

Here's hoping it reaches you
Wherever you wander
Whether here or there
Or some far away yonder
