Re: Some Uplifting News
Thu, November 24, 2005 - 8:40 AMthanks nejmah!
this year cetaceans have been a pressing issue with a lot of exposure, and the momentum has picked up i'm sure from previous years, let's hope it stays for change.
there were antiwhaling laws and such passed and this was a hot topic not so long ago too, however this is something that we constantly need to keep in check. -

Re: i dreamt of swimming
Thu, November 24, 2005 - 5:37 PMA few of us here in LA meditated on the beach about a month ago to connect with the dolphins. We did just that. I felt great joy projecting love to them...they came up and swam about 100 feet in front of the beach we sat on. it was an awesome experience. Just as we were about to leave, I picked up 2 shells off the sand and they both had an "engraved" dolphin fin on one side...thanx.
You can connect with the dolphins WHEREVER you are, as long as you have the intention.
Here is a great website on the topic:

Tue, February 21, 2006 - 10:49 AMGood news from NZ.....our govt has banned bottom sea trawling around our country...a vast part of it though not totally....but this heralds a new way for other countries to do the same....let's celebrate the small things that help to pave the way for the bigger ones....peace and love to our beautiful friends of the sea and to you too.... -

Re: i dreamt of swimming
Tue, February 21, 2006 - 11:11 AMgood new that bottowm trawling is banned in NZ !!
here in hawaii we have no trawling or commercial net (purse seigning) fishing. everything is done with "longlines" and these are vastly superior to nets for the sake of not harming cetaceans or turtles. i work in the noaa gov't office that makes the fishing regulations, and we have been extremely successful in limiting dolphin/whale interactions from fishing operations. in fact, our current biggest problem is tour boats and people trying to get too close to pods nearshore. that, and the military's insistence on using ultra-low frequency sonar.
