I posted some good questions. I guess I will try another topic:
do you have a tattoo you got to celebrate your tranny-ness or your queerness? What is it? How did you think of it? If you have one, please upload a picture to our pictures. I believe you can do that. Or post it here in this thread.

Re: no one is discussing. and you should. TRANNY/QUEER TATTOOS.
Tue, September 4, 2007 - 11:09 PMhmmmmm. Although none of my tattoos were deliberately picked for their queer/trannieness, I can certainly say in hindsight that they certainly were on outward manifestation of both of those things. I am heavily tattooed and started in my youth (under 18). That would be significant as in the 1970's there were very few heavily tatted women around. I think in my uninformed little brain (at the time) I saw tattoos as one of the most masculine things anyone could do. So I did it...........looooong before I realized and could give a voice to either my queerness or my trannieness. Does this make sense?

Sat, September 8, 2007 - 1:28 PMSky, in your picture you look kind of like somebody I know here in the Bay and your story seems to be similar to his as well. Just wanted to say so.

Re: no one is discussing. and you should. TRANNY/QUEER TATTOOS.
Fri, September 7, 2007 - 11:26 AMYou did post some good topics.
But steering these discussion spaces is like herding cats. Sometimes you can get them moving, sometimes people just wander. Also there's the critical mass deal; this tribe is very new and only has a few members.
Patience, grasshopper ;-) -

Yeah, it was great to meet you, too!
Wed, September 12, 2007 - 12:54 PMFor those who haven't had the pleasure, Micah is every bit as hot in person as in his pics.
Maybe next time we'll get beyond the flirting stage ;-) While I was bent over to check out the tats on your legs, I was so tempted to peel off your undies... -

Sat, September 8, 2007 - 10:17 PMLOL...and then there is Kim who is a known topic perverter. Hmmm, might be a pervert(er) of other things as well, but don't have first hand knowledge......:) I know....patience....all will be revealed.

Re: no one is discussing. and you should. TRANNY/QUEER TATTOOS.
Tue, September 11, 2007 - 10:09 AMThat's an easy one for me. I have a few tattoos that celebrate my tranny/queerness. My favorite one is here: tribes.tribe.net/dontcarei...9543233183

Geeze, what's a person to do?
Wed, September 12, 2007 - 1:04 PMWhen faced with such incitement to pervert a topic?
Yeah, I like perverting people too. "Oh, you've never ...? Let's try that and see how you like it!" (I particularly love getting bottoms to top me.)
As for your lack of first-hand (or first-something) knowledge, it ain't my fault you found something hot at the Lone Star and got all distracted ;-) -

No ink, no metal
Fri, September 14, 2007 - 11:02 AMI'd love to get the nips done, but I love having them played with too much to wait six months for the piercings to heal. -
-
Re: No ink, no metal
Fri, September 14, 2007 - 11:08 AMYou dont neccessarily have to wait 6 months, it all depends on your healing time, I was having my nipps played within the week of piercing and when I did my PA I had sex again within the week! -
-
Re: No ink, no metal
Sun, September 16, 2007 - 12:08 PMSimon is absolutely correct in his reporting of when most folks start checking out their piercings. Is it a good idea? Probably not.
I have been a piercer for nearly 20 years now. Gave my first play piercing class at a Living in Leather Conference in 1988.
Over the years there have been fierce debates about these issues. There is plenty of documentation out there about how skin and wounds heal. NOTHING is healed in a week or two. It takes the body longer than that to repair and reproduce cells to take the place of ones damaged by the piercing process. Does that keep us from fiddling with them once we have them? Nope.......and therein lie the potential problems.
Rejecting piercings, migrating piercings, irritations and infections can be a direct result from that "fiddling" by ourselves or anyone else.
Not saying that you will have that same experience, I am just saying there is a distinct possibility.
It is my "professional" hat I am wearing when I make these comments and it is the thing that any responsible piercer will tell you. It is totally up to you to decide if you will let your new metal heal to the point where it can stand some sustained "friction" and then be expected to survive.
I'm not saying.......I'm just saying.........
