Hello,
My name is sean and I am putting this enquiry out on behalf of a friend who is coming to SF (Feb 2008) for reconstructive surgery and is looking for a safe, quiet and affordable place to stay for the 10 days of surgery/recovery.

He will need space enough for his boyfriend who will accompany him and as he lives w/ Asperger's Syndrome, he requires a quiet environment that is perfume/fragrance free.

I don't really know of a place and am hoping there may be someone out there who does.

Any suggestions are appreciated,
blessings

  • Hi Sean,
When I was displaced from my home temporarily (following a flood), a friend recommended staying at Beck's Motor Lodge in the Castro:

At first, I thought that it would be insanity, cuz it's on Market St. and in the heart of the Castro, which is a main hub. It turned out to be GREAT. Super affordable for SF, very clean, and the room they gave me and my ex-bf was quiet. It'll be cool for your friend's bf, when he needs to get some air, and also after two days of recovering from surgery, I needed to get out, so that being there would be fun and everything is in walking distance (harvest grocery store, cafes, restaurants, walgreens, and lots of hot boys to look at;))
    Good luck!
    Avi
