Folsom Volunteers needed in SF

Call for volunteers - seeking transmen who play with men (or want to...) and their allies.

tm4m (transmen for men) will have a booth at Folsom in order to create visibility for transmen who (or want to...) to play with men. We will also be debuting our 2 new outreach materials focused on the transguys who have sex with guy's community. On top of that we will be doing a drawing for prizes and giving out safer sex kits.

Trans as Fuck: Exhibitionism at its finest! Trans as Fuck was founded in 2004 by Bay Area artists/activists, Seeley Quest and Storm Florez. The two artists were each looking for places to celebrate and heal their relationships with their bodies and sexuality via performance and realized that no such venue existed for trans and genderqueer people. The two decided to create a show specifically for this purpose.

The show has been a great success and has showcased a hot and talented line-up of performers with heartfelt, humorous and intense acts, some which have included stripping, body manipulation like piercing and pumping, erotic dance, fisting, squirting and carrots in butts.

Performers incorporate music, spoken word and frank discussion in their pieces which has allowed audience members to connect and engage with what's happening on stage. This year, Trans as Fuck was the recipient of a Queer Cultural Center grant, and will be featured in the 2008 National Queer Arts Festival.

I think everyone should feel free to be as explicit (or as vague) about it as they like. My ad might read "will do anything with anyone." (Well, that's not strictly true, but pretty close.) But perhaps someone else is only interested in 21-25 y.o. redheaded transmen who weigh between 110-125 lbs and are 5'6"-5'8" tall, have blue eyes, are into watersports and cutting (bottom only). My name is sean and I am putting this enquiry out on behalf of a friend who is coming to SF (Feb 2008) for reconstructive surgery and is looking for a safe, quiet and affordable place to stay for the 10 days of surgery/recovery.

He will need space enough for his boyfriend who will accompany him and as he lives w/ Asperger's Syndrome, he requires a quiet environment that is perfume/fragrance free.

I don't really know of a place and am hoping there may be someone out there who does.

Micah Riot is going to show how to make duct tape floggers, so bring duct tape. There are not very many things out there that one could not make out of duct tape. Always a good thing to have on hand to waste a couple of hours. He may also show how to make TRANNY DOLLS and fun sensation toys out of fimo clay. Since upon completion of their molding they have to be burned to get hard and more permanent, bring a container for the fimo parts to get home safe to your oven.

Here is a list of things you can bring that may be fun to play with at our next Screwup:

-ducttape

-packing tape
-scraps of cloth
-needles and thread
-stuffing/cotton balls from a dollar store

Hi Everyone... My name is Storm Miguel. I'm an out transman who occassionally likes to dress in female drag... Usually with some sort of twist. That was never interesting to me until after I started testosterone. Now that I have the body I want, there are so many places I can go with it. I'm mostly masculine-ish and pretty queer. My primary relationship is with a hot, strong femme dyke who is really supportive and encouraging about how boy-crazy I am. (boy-crazy, man-crazy, etc.)

I would really love to see tribe have a resurgence of sorts. I've never been into MySpace and I've actually made some great connections on Tribe. So, it's really great to see discussion here.

private party on Halloween. This year's theme is "All Queers
Eve"..it's not a costume party, it's not a dungeon party, it is a sex
party for all genders, 18+, in a safe and sober place.

Admission to the party is $17 if you prepay or $20 at the door.

all genders. If you are uncomfortable playing in mixed space, you

No street clothes will be allowed at the party. We encourage the
wearing of towels (which are provided). Lockers are available at no
additional charge.

Trannywood Pictures
Before the party starts, we are planning on shooting a lube wrestling
scene for a Trannywood Gone Wild dvd. If you would like to be part of
this shoot, please contact admin@erossf.com. Two forms of government
issued IDs are required and the signing of a model release form.
Besides getting into the party for free, a small stipend is provided.
All genders and bodies are welcome, though for the initial scene, we
will be focused on trans men and non trans men.

Location
The All Queers Eve party is located at EROS, 2051 Market Street in San
Francisco. It's Halloween, so consider public transportation or
carpooling.

Andrew “Bootdog" Johnson will be hosting a class on the craft of
bootblacking, taught in a studio format. We’ll start with a short
discussion period, covering various aspects of boot and leather care,
followed by hands-on experience, in which participants are given the
opportunity to develop their skills.
All experience levels are welcome to attend, and participants need not
intend to become full-fledged bootblacks; it is perfectly acceptable for a
participant to simply want to learn how to care for his or her own boots.
Sessions are led by Andrew "Bootdog" Johnson, Pacific West Mr. Bootblack
2004, who has been caring for his own boots for nearly fifteen years and
has bootblacked publicly for five years.
Bring along any bootblacking supplies you may already have (polish, rags,
brushes, etc. as well as boots to work on(Imagine!).

If you don’t have a complete bootblacking kit, that’s not a problem. I
have assembled several basic kits through a local wholesaler that I sell
for my cost, which is $25. The only thing you need to add is a spray
bottle for water and cotton rags.

VIGIL to Keep Transgender People Protected Under Employment Non-Discrimination Act:

Join us Monday morning at a vigil at Pelosi's office at 8AM. It will be a 24 hour vigil so you can stop by at any point but for sure join us at 8AM before you go to work. Congressman Barney Frank and the Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, are attempting to scuttle a trans-inclusive the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) by introducing a separate bill covering sexual orientation only, as well as a token bill on gender identity. The vote is Tuesday in the Labor Committee so act now to stop this divisive tactic. Please bring a friend and let your friends know how important this is for all of us, not just transgender people.

Things You Can Do To Save Gender Identity in ENDA

1) If you are in San Francisco, Join us tomorrow morning (Monday, October 1st) for a 24 vigil. We will meet in front the Federal Building where Pelosi’s office is located. 450 Golden Gate, cross street is Polk Street. Meet at 8AM. Wear black. We are casualties of the equality battle.

2) If you can come to Washington D.C., Picket House Speaker Nancy Pelosi at HRC National Gala In Washington, DC- Oct. 6
We’ve been kicked to the curb. Join us on the curb to picket the Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, and demand an ENDA covering gender identity. As labor unionists we won’t sell out any part of our community.
We call on all LGBT and allied organizations that support gender identity inclusion in ENDA to join us.
Meet at 4:15 p.m.; Picket begins at 4:30 before the Major Donors Reception and continues through the General Reception beginning at 6 PM.

Do you think that older transguys have any kind of responsibility to take care of the younger generation in the same community? Just because they are trans and have been through what we are going through now? I mean mostly people who've met in person, but just online too.

I just wanted to post a brief message in support of this tribe, and if support of Micah and what's he trying to do.

LOL, we "met" in the context of a bit of a disagreement, Micah happened to be on the receiving end of a rather curt comment (I was just trying to be brief and to-the-point, and you know how THAT can sound if you're not careful).
Rather than fire back with some half-assed "you're an asshole", "fuck you , dude!" response (it's sooo easy to do that online, especially when you can't come up with anything better), Micah managed to state his case, express a differing viewpoint & get his feelings across, in a mature fashion, and without resorting to name-calling or demanding that I agree with him . How many people do that anymore? Online or off. LOL, especially when they live in San Franciso and all their role models teach them "just get really angry & call everyone who doesn't happen to agree with you a racist, a facist, a right-winger, or all of the above, and that'll end the discussion--- who needs logic when you have emotion & buzz words?"
We managed to have "a conversation" instead of "an argument", and in my opinion, that's always better.

The Kid (hey, it's an affectionate term) has Head AND Heart.
Good luck with the tribe, Micah, and really, as they say in the South , "More Power To Ya!".
It's a good idea for a tribe, it fills a need, and I'm sure good things will come from it.
I intend to keep my archaic 'Ol Skool ass out of most of the discussions, but I did want to congratulate Micah for starting a tribe on this topic.
