Craftsman gas powered pressure washer. Worked great the last time we used it, which was several years ago. It's been sitting unused in the garage. It still works, as far as we know, but we don't know for sure. You may buy it as is for $50. It's possible that it may need a tune-up or repair that we're not aware of, so you're taking a chance! It's a final sale as is.

The biggest thing to sell, and the most important, is the house. We've been here since 2000, and since I first went to Burning Man in 2003 it's evolved to become Pu'uhonua, the Place of Refuge. Hundreds of burners and other wonderful people have passed through its doors and left their enmities behind (mostly...) and we'd love to see it remain a refuge for the community. As we'll be selling off most of the contents, it will slowly be purged of the personality we've added. While we're doing this, it is FOR SALE BY OWNER. When we've sufficiently robbed it of our character, hopefully by mid-August, if it has not sold we'll probably list it with an agent.

The property was last appraised at over $980,000 in 2005.

•	Technically there are two parcels which combined are about 1.1 acres.
•	The house is a little over 3200 square feet, not counting the second garage.
•	Wood frame and adobe brick construction
•	Built in 1974 with major room additions and the second garage added thereafter
•	Large freeform shape pool and spa with brand new pump and filter
•	Tropical back yard with great privacy for people who like to go naked a lot (like us)
•	Entry on upper floor leads to 3 bedrooms upstairs, one down
•	Deck runs almost entire length of upper floor with views of yard and mountains
•	Master bath has extra large shower
•	Living room set up as entertainment room with 100" video screen and large mural art by Lady Frog
•	Two car garage with workshop and storage on upper floor
•	Second two car garage with pool equipment and spare room intended as sauna (but never completed)
•	Carrier air conditioner, only one year old
•	New storage shed
•	Large under house storage area
•	Lower floor features fourth large bedroom with adjacent bath, almost as large as master bedroom
•	Small room downstairs set up as Luscious's massage studio
•	HUGE, Double garage-sized room downstairs currently used for Smoke Blower's office and video studio
•	Additional room downstairs provides access to spa and back yard, currently used as excersize room
•	Lots of roses and some fruit trees

And so much more!

We'll be posting pictures shortly and will link to them in this thread

We'll consider offers between $810,000 and $850,000 depending on terms.

In the process we've been delayed getting home by 3 days due to fuel flow problems and our own ineptitude. But we'll be home today and will resume adding new items for your buying pleasure!

What's this all about?

Well, after 24 years together, 8 moves, 3 states, 2 kids, always a bigger house, we've finally reached the point where we're overloaded with stuff. And since the kids will be 21 years old next month and are moving out, it's time to purge. To divest ourselves of the trappings of materialistic society. To reduce the clutter that gathers dust around us, and distracts us from finding purpose and joy.

So, we're selling our 3200 square foot house on an acre in Escondido and moving into a 320 square feet home on wheels.

We've bought a bus, and we're going to live in it. At first we'll be mostly staying around the north San Diego county area, taking a few 3-4 week trips during the year. Eventually when my Mom's condition permits we'll take a year or two and travel the continent slowly.

To meet the challenge of shrinking our home by 90%, we've got a lot of stuff to get rid of. And as much as we'd like to, we can't afford to just give it all away. But we do want to see all this stuff go to people who will appreciate it and use it well. So we want to make sure that our closest friends and the community we participate in has the first opportunity at it.

Have fun, buy great stuff to enhance your lives, and spread the love!

I saw some of this china on Ebay today. The minimum price for one Place setting was $98. That includes one large plate, one medium, one small plate, one cup, and one saucer. The large plates go for around $40 each by themselves.

For $200 you get:
2 large plates
4 small plates
4 medium plates
4 cups
4 saucers

That's 2 full place settings worth $98 each, plus 8 more pieces! It's a good deal, and it's going on Ebay next week if no one responds! Here's what it looks like (edged with real gold leaf):

Sony CPD-E440 19" CRT Monitor $40

Sold new for $500, currently on eBay around $90...

This is a high quality Sony Trinitron 19” monitor. It’s big, but it’s bright with great color rendering. If you’re a video game player, its fast response will thrill you. If you’re a serious photographer, get a color control spider and this monitor will be great for Photoshop pre-press and color matching.

It’s a little on the heavy side….

OK, it’s old technology, but it was pretty cool… This player still works, and was mid-level when purchased. So if you have some laserdiscs sitting around (they look like a CD – metallic and shiny – but are the size of an 12” vinyl LP…) this is the way to play them for cheap.

These sell new at art auction houses for about $280 EACH, UNFRAMED! Buy them at 1/12 the price as an investment! They were printed in 1981 on Arches paper. Here's a photo of one of them just to show the framing:

Conair Ceramic Technology Satin Finish Styling Kit (new in box)

Luscious bought this to straighten her hair, then decided not to use it because it would be silly to ruin such beautiful curly hair. So it’s never been used. Original price was $24.95. We’ll list it on Craigslist for $20, and sell it to our burner friends for $18

Quoting from the packaging:

Curl!
Straighten!
Shine!

Even heat distribution for faster styling!
Static-free ceramic surface glides across hair reducing flyaways
Professional high heat levels with no damaging hot spots
Auto-off
Dual voltage

It includes
The power wand with 6’ professional length swivel line cord, adjustable temperature control, on/off touchpad and power indicator light. It heats up in 60 seconds

Two heads, one with 1” ceramic-coated straightening plates, and another with 1 ¼” ceramic coated barrel for curling

HP Pavilion dv1000 series notebook Sells on eBay, not working, even without all the pieces, for $350

This was my main notebook for over a year until the LCD went out. It’s in otherwise great shape, and works just fine with an external monitor. No doubt the LCD can be replaced or repaired, or you can attach an external monitor to it and use it as a desktop.

I will restore this notebook hard drive to its factory condition before you pick it up. I will not fix the LCD - If I can fix it, I'll keep it and sell you my new notebook (for a little more money)

Echostar Dishplayer 7200 $23

Echostar Dishplayer 7200. Sells on eBay for $30, and is a bargain at that. We’ll sell it to a lucky burner friend for only $23.

This is a DVR (digital video recorder – like Tivo) for the Dish satellite TV network. It includes an 80GB hard drive, enough to record 80 hours of video directly from the satellite, with the same DVD quality as the original satellite broadcast. Cool, huh. 'Course, you gotta have a Dish Network dish and subscription. But the hard drive inside is still usable...

This receiver for Dish Networks come with a smart card and the remote control. It was the high end receiver of its time and the first to receive high def recording. However, it is not compatible with the current method of high def transmission.

Dell Ultrascan P780 17 CRT monitor $15

Worth about $15 on eBay… We’ll sell it to our burner friends for about the same. Why not, you don’t have to pay shipping!

This 17” flat screen Trinitron monitor was stained by either blood or ketchup. But it’s in perfect working condition. It’s auto-syncing up to UXGA resolutions, and looks best at XGA (1024x768)
