It looks like I waited too long to shoot on the salt flats. Unless you think we can hack it.?
My plan now is to locate some kind of abandoned industrial building. There is one close by the East Bay area in Provo. It's by the train tracks and definitely abandoned. It was an old rendering plant. I'm going to check it out soon and see about shooting there.
If anyone knows of a good location let me know. It doesn't have to be an abandoned industrial building. A burned out house would be cool. Use your imagination and keep your eyes open for a good location.
We have a real camera crew that I've worked with b4 so we should definately do this.

Re: Marklar Video
Thu, November 29, 2007 - 8:10 PMI was thinking that perhaps we should shoot it outside when it's cold enough to see your breath. It would look brutal. Another idea is to shoot it anywhere, like a field somewhere, but in the dark. With the right lighting it would just look black behind us.
That combined with extreme cold would sparkle IMO. Any thoughts? Are you still down with the project? Meow? -

Sun, December 2, 2007 - 9:34 PMI'm not sure that "teeth chattering" is considered a threat from a dragon. ;) We would still like to do the project, but I know we are all a little hesitant to get in our metal-cold costumes and freezing. :) What about that abandoned warehouse site idea? -

Mon, December 3, 2007 - 10:34 AMThe abandoned warehouse isn't heated though. It'd be about as cold as outside. Let's just find a heated place that's big enough. If we can turn off all the lights we can make it look good using floods. Any ideas for a location? -

Re: Marklar Video
Mon, December 3, 2007 - 8:24 PMWell, I know it isn't much, but I have a nearly empty basement that's wide but not tall. Let's see..we coul probably find a warehouse to rent for a day that would be fairly cheap. We could contact the Utah Arts Alliance studio space on 2100 South and rent that out for the day. That one would probably be the best. -

Mon, December 31, 2007 - 10:05 PMBELLY NEW YEAR!!! woohoo.....
So how long can you cats remember the routine? I'm starting the think this might have to wait for warm weather.
It's hard to find a cool location that's heated. That would give us a lot of time to storyboard the project. -

BTW - Lyra danced to one of our songs at the show. She was fantastic - as always.
She is one of the most creative, talented and cheerful ppl I've ever met.
I'll put up the video soon. -
