so ive never been one to EVER believe in destiny or a pre-determined fate. free will is one of the little freedoms we as souls have. i still believe in free will but a free will that has already been written..if that makes any sense..
ive had one too many precog dreams to deny the fact that our path is already paved we just have to walk it. i hate that i know this, but i do so ive been getting to deal with it. i in fact enjoy knowing that everything thats supposed to happen...will happen. when i sleep i dream and sometimes when i dream i catch a glimpse into my life, my life that hasnt happened yet. ive been struggling with this idea and oddly feel at ease.
some examples...
the biggest has to be the dream i had about a car rolling down a driveway into oncoming traffic and me and my friend having to pull the e-brake to stop it...i woke up and this happened to me in less than ten minutes...the accident had it happened could have been fatal.
ive had dreams (many dreams) about pictures on the moon. just today i saw a billboard that said "Moon-vertising coming sooon!" and it had a picture of a large lazer light that i guess will put an ad on the moon.
other dreams more subtle..like having a dream with a certain actress or actor i would never think of then the next day find myself unknowingly sitting infront of the tv with their movie playing.
it happened to my little sister too. i was longboarding with little brother who had a shortboard and my sis who had rollerblades. my brother and i switched boards for a bit, i said "wow im not used to this im used to havin g abigger board" my sister told me she had dreamt that exact moment to the T...my words, all three of us skating.
so what have i learned? ive learned to simply smile throughout life. everything that my life is supposed to be..will. it comforts me during stressfull times and makes me laugh during times i probably shouldnt be....
what do you think?
feedback please

Re: do you believe in destiny? -my personal revelation
Sun, May 4, 2008 - 7:31 AMYes-I understand , I am not sure if it is fate but then I don't really know what your description of fate is. I have dreamt of photos of people being shown to me of family members and they end up being real family members who look like photo.
In wake time, I have had a raccon come from no where -try and stop my car from leaving the street a large racoon and the passenger was with me to witness the out of place racoon. it walked back wards and forward and came at my slow moving car. On the following tuesday , I was on the freeway and a car going 78mph hit me from behind and send me into cement like wall -my tires pop to keep me from slipping.
later , I was in classes with people who was from argentina and another was from Chile' . Someone got talking about animals guides and they were very quiet -I knew they thought these people were idiots so I asked them both -what does a racoon mean when you see a racoon and it real because the other person sees it too but there is no racoons where you live -the guy got quiet and he looked at the other woman -in spanish they said to each other what is the word for -he sighed and then said in english oh its bad very bad but not the racoon , she is good but she brings warnings to the person that they are in danger but it has to be the guide not a daily dweller or local racoon unless he walks unusual. Well that one was doing both.
Pablo. wow there a lot is going on for with you dreaming wise that is for sure.
I remembered how a couple of roommates said to me -what is going on we both dreamt the same dream of our noses falling off last night and the girl said my sister were in the dream and their noses fell off and when I called home my two sisters had dreamt of it too and were talking about it. -

Sun, May 4, 2008 - 7:34 AMPB-Oh I think its a good thing you dream like that -meditate about it and don't feel like you are directly responsible for the dreams because some may be about masses of people even natural diasters -pray alot for those you dream about even whe then dreams are good dreams about them. -

Re: do you believe in destiny? -my personal revelation
Sun, May 4, 2008 - 9:10 AMI agree, Pablo, the same things have happened to me in my life. When I try to explain it to someone, they think I'm saying that I don't believe in free will, but I do, I believe in free will, and destiny at the same time. Maybe these are just "snaps" to tell us that our lives are going the right way, and that we have chosen the path? I don't know, all I know is that everything happens for a reason, whatever we choose. Does that make sense? -

kaylie If I may this has been an internal conversation I have had with myself for at least ten years. either existence would seem pointless taken to an extreme. this is only my opinion. a universe that was only ruled by fate is pointless stale boring. if there is only one outcome then there is no point to participate. A universe with out guidance is pointless and chaotic like playing a game with out any rules everybody wins everybody looses make up what ever rules you like because they do not apply who cares whets the point. only a synthesis of the two works in my opinion, I repeat no proof my opinion. fate and free will work like a dog on a leash fate does exist and guide us and only if we travel to far in the wrong direction does it snap us back to the path. inside the length of the leash we have free will. -

by not participating...you are still participating
so now ive been thinking about the possibility of parralel dimensions....
i remember thinking about this in like the second grade...if i had done 1 thing differently in my past..or had been introduced to something or someone or even as little as woke up ten minutes later..would i be living the same life?? with the same friends? with the same thoughts?
my brain hurts -

Re: do you believe in destiny? -my personal revelation
Mon, May 5, 2008 - 5:59 AMSo, everything, and nothing all at once... and in all the gray areas lies peace? :-)
Well, my goal for the past few years has been to awaken my instinct and listen to my soul... figure out my destiny and CHOSE it... I feel like I have been through some emotional and physical cycles that I really needed to learn from. Some I have, and some I am still learning, such as love... ;-)
If I werre to only believe in free will, I'd be a bitter, cold, angry person.... but, if I only believed in fate, I'd be an irresponsible flake!
I guess the answer is balance, and acceptance...? -

Re: do you believe in destiny? -my personal revelation
Mon, May 12, 2008 - 4:12 PMI think our lives are predetermined by ourselves. Just like our dreams are predetermined by thots we have. Our worries and focus come into our dreams, and I think they do in real life too.
I love the movie The Butterfly Effect!
I think it's possible that there are many parallel realities, and each thot we have sends us into a different layer of the realities. -

Re: do you believe in destiny? -my personal revelation
Fri, May 16, 2008 - 4:58 AMIt will sound strange. albeit I am capable of training others in instant magick, I deadly believe all was written. I just get that purpO5e feeling that albeit we have choice it was meant to be, some sort of confidence was given to us knowing we shall make the r/w choice, well right.
