the old switcheroo

Here's a recap of what I consider one of the most emotionally powerful dreams of my life - this is just how it played out. I'm wondering if others have experienced the same kind of thing?

*I dreamed that my grandmother suddenly was dying, with no forewarning, and then she did die. I loved her so much, more than anyone in my family, so this was agony to me and I woke up thrashing, crying in grief and pain. Then I realized oh, it was just a dream!!!! Oh, thank goodness, she's not dead!!!! I felt such relief and pictured her in my mind and heart and felt such love for her and gratitude at her presence, and I fell back down on the bed. And then I remembered. In reality, she died many years ago, suddenly and with no warning. And I felt so f**ked with, my heart broke again, and back to the grief and crying. To have her die like that, not just once but twice, three times ---- there are dreams that really mess with your mind and heart."

Next time you have this dream, use it to say good-bye to her. It is unresolve you have, try to find a way to use the dream to resolve the issue, after all, each time you have the dream you wake and remember her so clearly, only to recall she did die...it is in the remembering that you can talk with her, in your past, try it. Blessings.

I agree . . . My father died when I was 13 . . . I have dreamed of him many times, and each time it is the same scenario . . . I find him, and say "if I knew you were here I would have come to see you more often" . . . this has happened so many times that it began to trigger lucid dreaming . . . I would see my father (my old dog, and my high school boyfriend), it would trigger the lucidity, I would say "every time I see you it is a dream, so this must be a dream, so I am going to explore/fly". While I am into exploring the Otherworld, I now believe these experiences have a greater message, and if the deceased can visit us in the dreamtime, then I have missed many opportunities to speak with my father.
