For as long as I've had dreams about driving and cars, it's never been good. I can never control the car nor drive properly even though I know how to drive (both in dreamworld and real world). Something about the car will always take me off track, go faster or slower than I want or simply crash or someone who is me but not me takes over.
This time round, 2 days back, I had a dream that I was driving a jeep. And I drove! I could even overtake though I was driving on the pavement and overtaking people walking. But I could control the car :)
It's a nice breakthrough and a nice dream! Finally!

Mostly I don't considered them good or bad and the night mares are scary.
I like the pleasant ones -like kissing .

You are and you can see that your dreamer double takes over where you are not able to discern for yourself. Ever read any Carlos Castanedas? He talks a lot about dreaming doubles...he has a whole series of awesome books about shamanism, old auld school. First one is Teachings of A Yaqui Indian...Excellent read each and every one. I used to have a link to his ebooks but I am sure it is buried under thousands of things on my cumputer...still I will try to find and post the link here when and if I can find it, meanwhile a google search on it though difficult could be fruitful.
Driving the car in a dream is about who is in control, usually it is your double, but now you have gained enough insight and experience that you feel more confident to be in control, awesome! Blessings -

Thanks for your information! This is the first time I've heard of a dream double. I always equate the dream self to the sub conscious. Is that the same? I have not read Castanedas but will definitely go check out this books :)
There have been significant behavourial changes in my dream states - some puzzling but some very refreshing, like the driving one!

So taking over the dream double, is it like taking over your intuition, ignoring gut feeling? Now that I have learnt to 'discern' for myself, what happens to the dream double?
