Re: art!
Thu, October 8, 2009 - 9:13 PMThis is disturbing in a way I have yet to fathom.
Made my tummy go lump-a-ty-bump and my eyes sweat.
Subliminal messages?
A glimpse was more than enough.
Thank you. The next time I do schrooms remind me not to look at anything. -

Re: art!
Thu, October 8, 2009 - 9:17 PMi agree, they are distubing images for some reason. you wouldn't think, it's just pictures of meat. -
-
Re: art!
Fri, October 9, 2009 - 6:40 AMWhy are most of the titles about reindeer? Is it reindeer meat? or images through the mind or a reindeer? If it's the latter, I don't think I want to go near a reindeer. Gives a whole new twist on the Santa thing, too -

Re: art!
Fri, October 9, 2009 - 5:37 PMThistle, I checked out reindeer and got suprised. And don't get me started on the 'Holly Jolly' vouyer.
Those images are still disturbing. -

Re: art!
Tue, October 13, 2009 - 8:58 AMI looked at them again and I'm still disturbed.
Maybe something subliminal?
I'm used to meat not looking like that. -

Re: art!
Tue, October 13, 2009 - 9:04 AMThat "Flight of the Reindeer" one looks *very* much like the huge abstracted orchid painting that I have in my living room <lol>. Okay, so mine is yellow/purple/green instead of red, but really, very similar. Now I kinda want that for the opposite side of the room : ). -

Re: art!
Tue, October 13, 2009 - 11:15 AMHas anyone told you that you might be condsidered by people that condsider about people like you that you might be weird?
Me, I don't care what you hang on your walls. And I'll bet a bent dime you don't care what I hang on mine.
But those gerbils sure squirm a lot when you first nail them up. After awhile they quit moving and just leak .
If you place them right, you can get interesting patterens, the blood spray makes it nice. It's aways different.
Don't you EVER think I'd nail a gerbil to a wall.
I'd use a staple gun. -

Re: art!
Tue, October 13, 2009 - 5:05 PMSpray adhesive. It's fun for you AND the hamster. -

Re: art!
Tue, October 13, 2009 - 5:42 PMThen you've got a handy balloon-static-making-station, ready to rock. Rub any color of balloon vigorously on your wallmounted hamster - and you're all set. God bless. -
-
Re: art!
Tue, October 13, 2009 - 8:18 PMBetter yet. Get your balloon all static-y. Then cover with hamsters. I guess maybe they'd have to be dessicated hamsters otherwise they'd never stay afloat...

Wed, October 14, 2009 - 8:01 AMRent it out, baby! I've got a fever and the only prescription is inappropriate morbidity

Re: art!
Wed, October 14, 2009 - 8:04 AMspray adhesive wouldn't work on a furry critter...It'd just stick the hair to the wall, then you'd wind up with a furry patch on your wall and a bald gerbil. If your're gonna put them on a wall, you gotta use staples or decorative push pins; but personally, I find the small critters are best used in mobiles...hang them by their tiny feet or with gerbils, they've got those long tails...just attach a nice bead to the end and string them up. -
-
Re: art!
Wed, October 14, 2009 - 9:15 AMAfter sticking all the hair to the wall you end up with a bald gerbil which you can stick to the wall. It all works out if you look in the right directions. Or take the right meds, or wrong meds. Whatever.
Never having owned a gerbil (I consider them cat toys and inanimate cat toys take up 15% of the floor space here) I don't know it they have hairy palms. If no hairy gerbli palms exist you could stick their feet to stuff - walls, ceilings or any oblivious stranger who wanders by looking for the exit.
A moblie sound nice. You could re-use one of those things that were sold to entertain babies. You know, they clung to the edge of the crib and you wound them up and they sounded like a music box while funny looking shapes went round 'n' round. Hang it just out of kitties reach and you have a cat exerciser. Plus a dash or two of catnip on each gerbil - (you could alternate hamsters and voles with gerbils) and Whoopee! Hours of fun for the whole family! Beats watching broadcast TV news. -

Wed, October 14, 2009 - 5:19 PMOoh I think she is right. The dream will never die. -

Re: art!
Fri, October 16, 2009 - 7:06 AMI think Pippin would want one of those mobiles, too. He caught and ate 9 mice at work the other day...he was a very happy dog.
I had 3 gerbils once...within no time I had about 30 of the critters. Not as mean as hamsters, but nowhere near as nice as rats. I wound up giving the whole kit and kaboodle of them to a friend of mine who raised pythons.
.....traveling all chicken nativity scene? How'd I miss out on that one? -

Re: art!
Tue, October 27, 2009 - 11:32 AMI missed it, too. But lo, 'tis the season coming. Shall we try again? -

Re: art!
Wed, October 28, 2009 - 6:48 AM...traveling chicken nativity scene? How did I miss that? Must have been trying to cure a case of hiccups.
Bring it on!
We could combine it some how with gerbil coated balloons and maybe start a 'Messy's TGIFFF Parade' with big tractors pulling Radio Flyer wagons heaped with bacon type stuff.
Of course, the parade would run on any given Monday.
I shall ponder upon this and let my imagination work on it.

Tue, November 10, 2009 - 8:36 AMI actually find this quite beautiful and intriguing. Imagine it in different colors... like shades of blue.... different affect on the viewer, ey? -

Re: art!
Tue, November 10, 2009 - 1:36 PMMaybe with an occasional flash of pink for variety.
I like it, Fang.
Are you into home decorating? I could use a good decorator Down In Under There.
I'm tired of the neon beer signs and wanted posters everywhere.
