I realise this is a bit obscure. Artistic licence has overtaken the need for clarity. If I can come up with a clearer figure that pleases me, I may post that instead.
As happens in the I Ching, the eight figures can be combined with each other to produce 64 'changes'. However, in this sceme they follow the 'proper' binary series, rather than the rather mysterious order that prevails in the I Ching.
I am only vaguely familiar with the I Ching. I've never tried divining with it or not.
