I love that noun, "Grok". Anyways, I have groked that there are spaces (that i have encounter) that; although i wish to adorn as sacred, are best left in pure state. Somtimes a spot on earth is just more powerful than needing marked or reconized.
Let me explain, In Minneapolis,MN the Minniehaha river flows over Minniehaha falls (yes, the one from Longfellows poem). To climb up and behind thease falls is dangerous and illeagal but weverone i know who has grown up here has gone up there anyways. but the is no trah, no childish marks, nothing to make you think anyone else has ever been up there. And there is a power an energy, that makes you stop in awe. When you hve an alter in your home, it is like you are calling the spirits or energy towards you, but when you stumble accross thease places you have come into the presance of the spirit in it's home. (P.S. my pic is of me standing behind thease falls)
Now I am an alter builder, I will create sacred space anywhere i can with anyhing I can find. I love it, but just now i have relized that you don't need to, and somtimes you shouldn't. I feel very Small again...

Re: I have Groked somthing New! (Natual Space and altars)
Tue, May 13, 2008 - 2:10 PMThat's a most wonderful, & a tad humble, post.
I'm glad to hear such a train of thought and 'experience'.
That's how I feel about nature, and that everywhere!
Of course there are more 'blessed' spots for sure, yet,
I do reckognize that Our Mother's Body Complete should be groked,
& not just some of the 'funkier' 'little' spots(!)
Hugs & Love,
ML.
