many thanks for your help and guidance. I have a good friend who lives in Istanbul and is due to visit me in the UK this summer. He has kindly offered to pick up a drum for me but isnt sure of the best place to buy from. Could you recommend a good quality store to purchase from? I have looked at the Emin Percussion range but they are quite expensive ( 350 - 450 euro). My budget is around 200 to 250 euro. I am not bothered about brand names but would like a good sounding and looking drum for the price. Could you please advise?

I wish I could lay hands on one of those big ceramic drums with natural skins before I had one shipped. There's just too many things that can go wrong, and shipping costs are frikken ridiculous, and which are not refundable, most of the time.
