As you probably know if you are here, Indonesia was a former colony of the Netherlands. From the mix of these two cultures came a new ethnic group commonly known as Indos.
After WWII effectively ended Dutch colonialism in Indonesia, Dutch Indonesians emigrated all over the world. Most initially went to the Netherlands, but many then emigrated a second time to places like the United States and Canada. Most importantly Indos kept much of their culture intact such as eating delicious Indonesian food and speaking the colonial Dutch of their forefathers.
All discussions concerning Dutch Indonesian culture are welcome here.
