Hi everyone. I posted a few photos that I had on my computer. Sorry but they were sent to me with multi-pictures and I don't have the originals.
They are of my husband's family. Some are of the Pereira family and some Van Den Brand Horninge family when they all still lived in Djakarta. They immigrated to Netherlands in 1956 and then to US in 1962.
Anyone recognize the names???

Wow, this sounds familiar. Where did they live in the Netherlands and where are they now?

My mother's family (the Grosvelds) lived up in Lembang and emigrated to Nederland in 1956. They were repatriated in Drunen which is in Noord-Brabandt. They late emigrated to Southern California.

Orginally they landed in a pension then to Vreeswyck (sp?) near Utrecht. Then to New York for "processing". From there they settled in San Jose, CA.
There is quite a large group in and around the SF bay area so we are lucky to get some good food either at get togethers or restaurants locally.

Don't recognize the names.... anyone heard of the Schultzes or Neynsdorff families, or families from the Manado region?

Posted a few new photos, and will post more when I get a chance. The first is of my great great grandfather and his Indo Chinese wife taken around 1907.

The second is of my mom's family the day they left Java (1957). She's the little girl.

The third is of the Wedding of Johan Coert and Anna Volten in Batavia c. 1895, which I think is the photo Elizabeth/Mahina was refering to in her post in the thread below.
