I recently tried a new restaurant which I found to be pretty good (Indo Taste), but not great. I'll probably go back, but a always looking for new restaurants. Here are a few in the Bay Area
Indo Taste Restaurant and Bakery, 273 West Calaveras Blvd., Milpitas, CA 95035. 408-262-5880
Ori-Deli, 5479 Snell Ave, San Jose, CA 95123. 408-578-6262
Holland Pastry Shop, 524 S Bascom Ave, San Jose, CA 95128. (408) 293-1441 (This is more of a market, but you can get supplies here).

(Pretty good, according to an Indonesian friend of mine)
There is one on Clement street, which offers a rijsttafel, but the quality is, uhm, lacking, to say the least.
One one these days I'll try the one on Balboa (Jakarta Indonesian Cuisine). I'll let you know how it was.

Sun, September 11, 2005 - 4:33 PMI've actually walked past the one on Clement but had already eaten. I'm glad I didn't give it a try.
If you get really hard up you can try Straits Cafe of Geary past Japan town (if I remember correctly). It's mostly fusion but if you can read between the lines on the English menu you'll find an Indonesian dish here or there that is very passable.
