As more and more of us listen to what's being discussed over the internet and tv, I'm curious to see what tarot card readers are predicting for the economic future. What do your tarot deck say about the US economy?

Re: What do your cards say about the American economic future?
Tue, July 15, 2008 - 8:27 PMI've not consulted the Tarot about the US economy.... but astrologically, Pluto is retrograding right now around the Capricorn/Sagittarius cusp, and then it will go direct into Capricorn. This goes along with all the massive layoffs, economy sucking majorly right now, etc.
It will be going direct about the time Obama takes office. I don't know that Pluto in Capricorn will necessarily be good. But it will mean there will have to be huge changes in the ways that companies do business. They'll change their ways drastically to both save money and to make themselves "greener" is what I'm thinking. Pluto will make "systems" change when it's in Capricorn, and the systems that aren't working will have to go.
Right now, Pluto's retrograde... which means things will suck for awhile. Things will become more secure over the next 14 years or howevr long it is that Pluto is in Capricorn, but things will, like I said, change dramatically so that we can get rid of old systems of doing business.

Re: What do your cards say about the American economic future?
Wed, July 16, 2008 - 4:21 AMA TAROT answer from Europe: What do your tarot deck say about the US economy?
From the Raider-Waite deck.
1th card: VI The Lovers. That what lays behind: Choise, you choose the situatian you are facing. You loved life and now you face consequences. Loveing means responsebility. You have faced abundance of life and picked the fruits. You have to face consequences together, not as an individual but as a comunety of loveing, caring people.
2nd card: 0 The Fool. That what is now: Optimism, you are out in de world facing the blue sky and hoping you will be fine. Time will tell what lays ahead. For now the world is yours, can enjoy that what is. Mind your step and trust the gods, maybe take notice of little warnings by your feet. You might climb the hill if you dont fall into the valei.
3rd card: XVIII The Moon. That what will come, Illusions, dreams, scary times. You did fine sofar, at least you thought you did. You made choises and walked with your head in the sky, nothing could happen, nothing could touch you, life and the world was yours. Now you are deep under water. Dreams and illusions seem dark, has the dream turned into a nightmare? Where is the light to guid you? What to do to and how to go further? All is cold and dark and your shell seems to fit tight. Do you have the courage to stand naked and leave the water you have fallen in? Do you have the courage to grow? Are do you want to stay in the dark cool dreamy surroundings you have chosen to be in? Do you want to face the challenges and polairety of excistence? Do you hvae the courage to start a new life, without a dream into reality. Do you have the courage to face: "That what IS." You might climb the hill again if you drop your dreams, if you take a more feminin attitude, if you make peace with the surroundings you are in, if you are willing to live on earth and that what it has to give. Or you will stay in the tiny shellf in deep troubled water, where illusions will scare you and you cannot grow. Be carfull.
Three Grand Arcarna cards for the past present and future. US economy has had great cosmic influences and it will in the future. But from a nation of love under god the economy has climbed mountains and gone without vision. From six to zero. Now the economy is on ZERO. Time to start a new life with a challenge ahead. 18 = 9 wisdom and vision is what you need in the future and face the truth instead of the illusion. You can grow 3 times 6 if you leave your illusions behind, face reality and face the naket truth.
4th card 4 of Cups: Let go of greed. Take a more meditative aproach to life and the desires you face. Not all things you want you do have to have. Let things be in your presence without wanting, needing, having them. Sit under a tree and watch the grass grow. Get to know your disires and see if you realy need them. MEDITATE! Be stil and know.
Total numbers 6+0+18+4=28 2+8= 10
X The Wheel of Fortune and I The Magician. US economy stil stands under favourite sighns from the gods, but it must face first: "What goes up must come down." Then it can face the uproad again if played with vision. Or give the country back to the gods guidance and not to your own illusions and greed. The case is not lost yet. Sit under a tree and watch the world grow by itself.
Ballance the four elements your live in. Fire, water, air and earth. Take a global few, not only earth. What you do with them is your responsebility. ALL FOUR! -

Re: What do your cards say about the American economic future?
Wed, July 16, 2008 - 6:54 AMUpdate:
Although the reading has some promisses I also see that the cards for the US economy all have a pasive, negative quallety.
In short you can say that the cards for the US economy are "BAD." As in yin and yang the one cannot be without the other. But in global view the essence of the reading is "BAD", negative energy. So the economy won't improve in the short run. And there is not much you can do then be receptive and see what happens, wait and LEARN.
Sorry for the economy, happy for the world.

Re: What do your cards say about the American economic future?
Wed, July 16, 2008 - 12:50 PMI'm at work right now, lacking any divinatory tools, so I took the question to teh interwebs:
from www.facade.com/lawyers:
Dear sir or madam,
In response to your query "How is the U. S. economy's forecast looking?" dated 7/16/2008 , we believe the most applicable phrase to be "not responsible for lost or mislaid items". Our invoice for 3 hours of legal work at $350 per hour will be forthcoming.
Sincerely,
The Facade Legal Team -

Re: What do your cards say about the American economic future?
Thu, July 17, 2008 - 6:37 PMI too have found my reading about the economy very grimm. All cards point to a continued slump. Nothing will get better soon enough. Then again, when I consulted the oracle after Bush was first elected-similar cards came out of both readings.

Re: What do your cards say about the American economic future?
Thu, July 17, 2008 - 8:09 PMI think this is a cultural trance - the media bleats continuously, our so-called leaders drone and whine and threaten us like children. We are whipped into a froth of fear and uncertainty. Of course things falter. If we stay on this course, it will be grim.
However, it does not have to be that way. We must invest in a different energy, we cannot listen to the voices exhorting us to panic. We do not have to buy this bill of goods.
The Tarot is about transformation. If we transform ourselves, if we refuse to accept the trance, we change not only ourselves but the world around us. Of course it ain't easy, but giving in to this fear-culture will kill us all if we don't fight it.
Pull a card, fight the system, change the World! -

Re: What do your cards say about the American economic future?
Fri, July 18, 2008 - 8:58 AMthe "economy" is for the masses, for the horde....
we have more power, more influence over our own economic circumstances than anything external to ourselves, more than any indicators reported on tv.
change yourself, change the world around you....
just pulled a card: ace of disks :)

Re: What do your cards say about the American economic future?
Fri, July 18, 2008 - 12:45 PMHow interesting - what the unwashed might call coincidence, even - I just pulled the Ace of Pentacles.
Aces are all about the power and potential of an element, and it doesn't get more grounded in the material realm than pentacles, so I would say a great big, "hmmmm..."
Anyone else watch Al Gore's speech?

Re: What do your cards say about the American economic future?
Sat, July 19, 2008 - 9:48 AMEconomics is as much of a crapshoot as gambling, and as ruled by turbulent and irrational inner trends. Our modern media and government structures - especially in the US - thrive on fear and panic, also irrational. We are in a risk-opportunity continuum right now.
I think the Ace of Pentacles, in both its positive and ill-dignified aspects, could be a very good representation of the perils and possibilities available to us right now.
Don't believe the hype - believe the Soul.
P.S. This thread - as evidenced by the topic - refers specifically to the US economy
