I noticed these while out shopping today and was intrigued.

Why these particular 5? Also puzzled that the advertising campaign seems to have nothing to do with Tarot, well, vague references to chance with the roulette wheel. And what's with the (literally) disrobing celebrities? Any other random Tarot marketing going on out there?

that is kinda weird. It seems like the whole mystical thing is getting a lot of play now, (cause of movies/books like Twilight and Harry Potter) so I guess it really shouldn't surprise.

Ad campaigns seldom appeal to intelligence, even when they have a great vehicle to do so. I think this is because they go for the lowest common denominators in society. Honestly ~ Naomi Campbell as Empress? And who wants to wear something evoking the malefic nature of the Moon card? It's schlock.

I'd be interested in smelling the stuff, though.

      >>>who wants to wear something evoking the malefic nature of the Moon card?<<<

Malefic? The Moon is not always to be read as "malefic". The root meaning of the card is "Ilusion" and that can refer to someone using trickery to confuse to deceive or to influence the querent, or it could be read as the querent deceiving himself or herself, or it might refer simply to a pleasant fantasy with no negativity implied. In principle, no card can be understood as simply a "good' card or simply a "bad" card. The cards provide information and guidance, how we interpret it is up to the reader. What we do with it is up to the seeker. And there is nothing negative in giving a warning when someone is in danger. That strikes me as a positive value.

Just my opinion about a perfume name. I think I would steer clear of it myself. I also have to wonder about the target audience and how well the company did their market research.
