Hey guys! I know, spastic message here from Katie Quinn. Anyway, my volleyball team made it to the Final Four, which will be taking place at the University of LaVerne, which is near Orange County/L.A. area. If anyone is interested in going out that way (hitchiking is supported), feel free to come watch some great volleyball!! We play Dec. 5 @ 7pm for the semis, and if (when) we win, 7pm Dec.6. I know no one has money around this time of year, but maybe if you dress up as a homeless person for a few days until then and hold out an empty McDonald's coffee cup, you can earn some extra change that can go to 'THE CAUSE' (aka- yours truly!) Alright, my random message is done. I hope everyone is having a fun semester- live it up, cuz I can't quite yet!! Take it easy and I hope to see anyone's smiling face who reads this at the game!! :)

wuddup from san jose. yep, i'm still here reppin' KRD. p. diddy's the same as always. pat's still here too. there are a bunch of new-hire's also. they all filled up intern row. i'm in my same desk.

I think someone should set up a website where we can all upload our pictures so they can be publicly viewed. maybe i'll do it, or maybe we can get eric to create an alumni site.

Hey boys and girls- I forgot about this website, and then I remembered. Good story, huh. Anyway, I uploaded all my pics onto an easy-user website, cuz my name isn't Jason and that's the best I can do. I also couldn't get that link to work, Jason- maybe you can help me out and get all the pics onto one page or something? I already mass-emailed it out, but here it is again:

I have set up an FTP server to host everyone's pictures from this summer. It is at 192.168.1.102 on port 22. The login name is: dreamers and the password is: uofd . If you have an ftp client like CuteFTP or AbsoluteFTP or whatever then I recommend you use that. Otherwise you can just go to this link ftp://dreamers:uofd@192.168.1.102:22 Feel free to upload and download as much as you like, but the more pictures that are there the better it will be obviously. Right now it is just my pics there. If you have any problems or questions just drop me an email and I'll help ya out. (j-alt@northwestern.edu ) ~Jason

Mars

Dude, check out Mars this month. It's not every day you get to watch a planetary ice cap melt, but this month you can.
Just look south between midnight and dawn on any clear night this month. Mars is that eye-catching red star, outshining everything around it. It's getting brighter every night as Earth and Mars converge for a close encounter on August 27th.
